The state of tbb fandom discourse:

Tech's death is Hunter's fault, because he shouldn't have okayed the mission, but at the same time, if he didn't okay the mission the Crosshair girlies would devour Hunter alive.

Actually, no! It's Crosshair's fault, because he shot his commanding officer for being a dick and not helping Mayday and getting detained at Tantiss.

But if you think about it, it's Mayday's fault, if he didn't die then Crosshair wouldn't defect. The audacity!

However! It's Echo's fault, because he delivered the info on clones being experimented on by Hemlock.

No, it's clearly Howzer's fault for getting thrown into imperial prison which made Echo go after him which made Echo find the intel in the first place.

And somehow, it's Omega's fault too cause she made Tech admit he sees them all as family and without her, maybe he wouldn't vouch for Crosshair so much.

But wait, wait, wait! It's Rex's fault, because if Rex didn't believe Echo was alive, then they wouldn't have saved Echo and Echo wouldn't have saved Howzer and wouldn't have got the intel and wouldn't have asked Tech to decrypt it.

Or maybe it was Five's fault, because he didn't manage to shoot Palpatine?

No. It has to be the Zillo Beast's fault for not eating Palpatine back in the Clone Wars.

But had you considered it was actually Jar Jar's fault because he was gullible enough to vouch for Palpatine to take the seat of Chancellor?

Nah. It's Qui-Gon's fault for freeing Anakin, because if Anakin had stayed on Tatooine he wouldn't have grown up to become Vader and help topple the Republic.

Actually, it's Darth Plagueis' fault for messing with the Force and it's Shmi's fault for getting Mother Mary-ed.

Or maybe it's Watto's fault for keeping Anakin as a slave and instilling life long trauma?

Can't be. It had to be Sebulba's fault for sucking at podracing and losing to a 9 year old.

Or maybe it was the Jedi Council's fault because they expelled Ahsoka for political reasons which made Anakin resent the council and gave him one more reason to turn to the darkside.

But then again, Anakin wouldn't have turned if Obi-Wan wasn't such a stickler for rules and Anakin felt like he could confide in his master with his problems.

It's Dooku's fault.

It's Saw Gerrera's fault.

It's Lux Bonteri's fault.

It's Ahsoka's fault.

It's Chancellor Valorum's fault.

It's Nute Gunray's fault.

It's Tarkin's fault.

It's Darth Bane's fault.

It's Padmé's fault.

My Bad Batch Season 2 Finale Response...

No, no, no, no, NO! Tech is NOT dead and you can’t convince me otherwise! 

My proof you may ask? Well here you go…

Evidence One- Tech’s goggles

Dr. Hemlock, while talking to Hunter, claimed that Tech’s broken goggles were all he could salvage. The shattered goggles had no blood, no crimson stains, and getting cut by glass will stain the glass with blood. Agreed? Also Tech was wearing a helmet when he fell, and his goggle are strapped around Tech’s head. How would his goggles come off his head and be the “only thing salvageable” if they were on Tech. Tech has also jumped, been pushed around, and fell several times in the series, but his goggles had never come off once. He has never even taken them off, just adjusted it from time to time. Hemlock also is known to be a liar, as shown that he never intended to take Omega in exchange for her brothers, but capture them all. A likely explanation for Tech’s goggles being found is that either he had taken them off, or had it taken away, or it had actually fallen or washed away from him.

Evidence Two- Previous Survivals of Other Characters

In prior films and shows, characters have been shown to survive impossible situations, like…

Gregor (Clone Wars/Bad Batch)- Gregor survived a large explosion while saving the D-Squad. He promised to make his way back, and he did. While the odds of survival were unlikely, Gregor has reappeared in The Bad Batch with no casualties. 

Echo (Clone Wars/Bad Batch)- Echo also survived an explosion with the cost of his legs, arm, and several body systems. He was taken as a Separatist Prisoner by the Skako Union and was used for experimentation and a weapon against the Republic. He was saved by Rex, Anakin, Tech, Wrecker, Crosshair, and Hunter, and survived and is in The Bad Batch.

Fennec Shand (The Mandalorian/Book of Boba Fett)- Fennec Shand was found dead by Boba Fett from a gut-shot blaster wound. She was brought back to life by replacing her damaged systems with mechanical ones. This allowed her to be perfectly fine and make an reappearance later in The Mandalorian and Book of Boba Fett.

Darth Maul (The Phantom Menace/Clone Wars)- Maul was sliced in half by Obi-Wan Kenobi and then presumed dead by everyone. He reappeared to seek revenge roughly 11 or 12 years later, with new mechanical legs.

Anakin Skywalker (Revenge of the Sith)- He had his legs and arm cut off, and then was burned by LAVA. Survival chances were impossible and yet he survived to become Darth Vader, feared Sith Lord.

Evidence Three- A Useful Asset

As an enhanced clone with an Exceptional Mind and Skills, Tech would either be able to survive the fall and escape, or he has been captured by the Empire. Why would Dr. Hemlock waste a chance to unlock more “scientific knowledge” by leaving Tech to die? Why not take him as a hostage like Crosshair and Omega? Hemlock did want to take the rest of the Batch for questioning.

Even if Tech has been captured for an Imperial experiment...HE IS ALIVE. He has a chance. I know it. I’m probably just ranting into the void, but I’m suffering for one of my favorite characters- OK?
