what’s your thoughts on different languages in winx club? like on other planets do they have other languages?

I like to think other planets and regions within them have their own lingua franca, yes. I don't recall if languages were ever mentioned in the RAI dub, but I do remember that the 4Kids dub (2.13) mentioned Aisha having to learn hundreds of languages as a princess. In the same vein, I like to headcanon that princesses (and royals in general) from other planets have to learn several languages. There’s an emphasis on language classes for royals in particular because most of them need to create strong politico-economic ties with one another, and languages are a gateway to understanding people and their culture.

Magix is the melting pot of linguistic and cultural diversity. Most people who live in Magix are multilingual and have a common language they speak with different accents. I haven’t yet figured out how Bloom understands it, but I suppose the language Bloom speaks on Earth is very similar to the common one in Magix.

Do you ever think about how many of the items now considered priceless artifacts were once commonplace items? The coins we now marvel at from behind the glass at a museum were once tossed around, stepped on, and traded around. The pottery painstakingly pieced back together was somebody’s favorite wine jug. The decorative pin now rusted and bent once held together the shoulder of someone’s chiton. History is simply a trail of ordinary people going about their day, and I think there’s an odd sort of beauty in that.

thinking about how after john andre was captured & staying at the patriot camp, ben tallmadge was assigned to basically hang out with him while the army decided what to do with him, and one day randomly was like “have you heard of nathan hale,” and andre was like “idk maybe, why” and ben was like “well he was my BEST FRIEND and they HANGED HIM AS A SPY” and andre was like “oh… sorry for your loss… but you wouldn’t do that to me would you haha” and ben was like “ACTUALLY WE DEFINITELY WILL” and that was how andre had to learn that he was gonna die lol

My knee flared up really badly today (pain + swelling. Not fun. It hurts a lot.) and if you have time I’d love some headcanons for The Boys helping with it/how they’d react to it 🥺 I am soft and you write the best headcanons. I always come to your blog and scroll through to make sure I don’t miss anything

Agent Whiskey:

He’ll be the picture perfect doting man. You won’t have to lift a finger, won’t have to do anything if your knee is acting up. Not while he’s around. He’s always quick to get you any kind of medication, heat, ice, etc etc. that you may need to help you feel better as soon as possible.

Javier Peña:

He’ll be almost annoying in how he won’t let you move. If he comes home and finds chores done or food made, he’ll just give you a look that tells you you’re in trouble because those things were his job while you recovered. Doesn’t stop him from being unbearably soft around you too, though.

Din Djarin:

Din gets very protective. Like, moreso than usual. He’s keeping a very close eye on you, making sure you don’t strain it any more than it already is. He’ll filter through his meager amount of med supplies, trying to piece together something that might be able to help.

Catfish/Frankie Morales:

He knows a thing or two about basic medical training from the military, so he’s quick to make sure you’re keeping it rested and either on heat or ice. He’ll do everything for you without suggestion or complaint, just so you can get the most out of your recovery.

Ezra:

He’s immediately rigging together some makeshift medical supplies to try and ease your symptoms. He’ll even try and use the flora around you if the planet is conducive for it. Either way, he’s staying by your side while you recover. He can’t bear to leave you alone.

Oberyn Martell:

You will want for absolutely nothing while you’re recovering, and you can bet on that. He may not be the one to wait on you hand and foot, but someone will. Preferably while he’s lounged out beside you, taking naps and helping you recover through relaxation.

Maxwell Lord:

Maxwell is making VERY sure that you’re taken care of. It’ll be one of the few times he takes time off work, just so he doesn’t leave you alone while you’re in pain. Even if you insist that it’s fine and you can still fend for yourself, he’s still staying close by so he can handle everything himself.

If you are comfortable writing this, how would all 10 of the Pedro characters deal with their s/o almost dying in childbirth?

Agent Whiskey:

Whiskey will be a goddamn train wreck. He’s in a near-constant state of panic, praying to whichever god will listen that you pull through and be okay. He absolutely cries a lot, he’s just so stressed out over the whole ordeal that he can’t help it. He tries to be strong for the baby, but it’s so damn hard he can’t help but break while he waits for you to recover.

Javier Peña:

Javi, much like Jack, will be a mess. He’ll try his best to keep a level head, to trust in the doctors working on helping you, but he feels absolutely useless while he’s unable to help. As soon as he’s cleared to go in, he’s not leaving your side, and he’s so damn grateful that you’re still alive that he can’t help but shed a number of tears.

Din Djarin:

Din will be unable to stop pacing. Seriously, he can’t sit still. He’s just so consumed with thoughts of “what if”s that he just can’t focus on anything else. He keeps incredibly close to wherever you’re being cared for, just in case he needs to be by your side at a moment’s notice. He’s never been a religious man, but damn does he start praying.

Catfish/Frankie Morales:

If you thought Jack was a walking train wreck, then wait until you see Frankie. He’ll probably need someone with him to keep him from just having a full on nervous meltdown, though he won’t be able to stop thinking the worst. As soon as he’s able, he’s rushing to your side, telling you all about the baby and how much he loves you.

Ezra:

This is absolutely his worst nightmare, and he won’t be able to hide that fact. If you are with a proper medic, he’ll still be panicking, though at some point he’ll get so worn out he can’t anymore. He can probably be heard gently talking to the baby, telling them he can’t wait for them to meet you, because he knows they will. They have to.

Oberyn Martell:

Such things probably aren’t terribly uncommon in Oberyn’s world, so he had an idea hat this might happen. Still, it doesn’t make the tension and fear any less real. He knows it’s best to just let the healers do their work, but he’s still incredibly nervous until they tell him you’re going to be okay. In fact, he won’t really calm down until he sees you himself.

Maxwell Lord:

Maxwell will be incredibly short with everyone present, just because that’s how his fear tends to manifest. It will probably take some third party that he trusts to calm him down, tell him that his anger isn’t helping and that he needs to be there for his kid while you recover. Once he’s allowed, he never leaves your side, telling you all about the baby he’s so excited for you to meet.

Max Phillips:

If he had a heartbeat, he’d be able to feel it in his throat. He won’t stop pacing, running his hands through his hair, and trying to desperately come up with something he can do to help. He tries so hard to keep it together, but as soon as he sees that the baby has your eyes, he can’t help but let a few tears stream down his face.

Marcus Pike:

God, he’s an absolute mess. He’s probably asking a million questions, trying desperately to get someone to reassure him with confidence that you’ll be okay, that you’ll pull through. He can’t bear to think of the alternative, so he won’t. He’ll focus on the little one, telling them all about you and knowing in his heart that you’ll love them when you see them.

Pero Tovar:

Dying during childbirth is a painfully common thing in Tovar’s time, so he attempted to be as prepared as possible before your due date arrived. But no amount of preparation in the world could make him any less scared. He’s trying his best to take care of the newborn, doing everything he can to stay calm for at least their sake while praying harder than he ever has before.
