Missing my time in New York with my family. New York itself is a crazy yet exciting city to be in. Broadway shows are crazy expensive for the unaware. The Subways are surprisingly cheap. Protip: heed AirBnB host's words, "the subway platforms are ovens and the cars are fridges". I was genuinely sweating waiting for the subway, but freezing once aboard. It's a Dark, Dark Night.

I am spending the night in total darkness, without any electricity. Why? No, not because I want to save the environment -- well, I do but I'm not that fanatical about it. It is because my house blacked out. So no fan, no A/C & I'm ditching my tee shirt. Otherwise I'll wake up thinking I took a shower in my sleep. God knows how I'm supposed to make it through the night. To make matters worse, the handyman can't come tomorrow because it is a public holiday. Yahoo. Wonder if we'll go hang out at a mall or something... The fridge is going to stink tomorrow. The power is out and there is a lot of frozen meat in there. Not to mention the milk. Urgh. Hopefully things will be OK tomorrow. Hopefully

Happy New Year 2019!! Here's to all the amazing memories I had in 2018, and to many more amazing memories in 2019!! I have learned so much and look forward to growing even more. Of course, there were sad moments and goodbyes, but there are no rainbows without rain. I am coming up on (insyallah) my last semester so 2019 is looking to be a big year of changes and it is both daunting and exciting. As always, I will take any and all challenges head on with my (hopefully) signature positivity & optimism!
