it's gonna take a fuck of a lot to make me forgive grace after she literally just sexually assaulted matthew
grace telling people so freely about james' trauma that she caused is driving me insane
nah sorry cordelia has been losing me for a while and like....
this is SO different and so much worse than the aline scene in cog.
like you are a a married woman. even if it is fake, there's a level of respect that banging his fucking parabatai absolutely betrays. you're supposedly so in love with him and know him so well yet you fully intended on, i repeat, fucking his parabatai.
i'm trying so hard to stay on the cordelia train and she is not making it easy. i keep telling myself she's fully under the impression he loves grace but it's still so hard đ
i was in the trenches as a luke girly then and i'm ready to do it again now đ€ș
my money is firmly on christopher dying in this book (DO NOT SPOIL ME) but i'm so very scared for matthew.
he's just spiraling and spiraling and i'm so scared he'll have a bad ending.
god the way muichiro smiles at tanjiro makes me want to cry
this will never not be funny
So below is, the original version of the scene that begins on page 137 in City of Glass, âJace looked at Alec steadily. âWhatâs between you and Magnus Bane? In the original version, Jace actually does kiss Alec, more to make a point than anything else, but the resultant scene made me laugh and made my editor laugh, hysterically. It didnât work â made the emotional impact of Jace telling off Alec less. I warn you, it is not romantic.  - Cassie
Jace looked at Alec steadily. Then he said, âWhatâs between you and Magnus Bane?â Alecâs head jerked to the side, as if Jace had slapped him or pushed him. âI donât â thereâs nothing ââ âI know better,â Jace said, forestalling him. âIâm not stupid. Tell me the truth.â âThere isnât anything between us,â Alec said â and then, catching the look on Jaceâs face, added with great reluctance, âany more. Thereâs nothing between us any more. Okay?â âAnd why is that? Magnus really liked you.â âDrop it, Jace,â Alec said in a warning tone. Jace was having none of being warned. âMagnus says itâs because youâre hung up on me. Is that true?â There was a moment of utter silence. Then Alec gave a despairing howl of horror and put his hands up to cover his face. âI am going to kill Magnus. Kill him dead.â âDonât. He cares about you. He really does. I believe that,â Jace said, managing to sound only a little bit awkward. âLook. I donât want to push you into anything, but do you maybe want to ââ âCall Magnus? Look, thatâs a dead end, I know youâre trying to be helpful, but ââ ââkiss me?â Jace finished. Alec looked as if he were about to fall off his chair. âWHAT? What? What?â âOnce what would do.â Jace did his best to look as if this were the sort of suggestion one made all the time. âI think it might help.â Alec looked at him with something like horror. âYou donât mean that.â âWhy wouldnât I mean it?â âBecause youâre the straightest person I know. Possibly the straightest person in the universe.â âExactly,â Jace said, and leaned forward, and kissed Alec on the mouth. The kiss lasted approximately four seconds before Alec pulled forcefully away, throwing his hands up as if to ward Jace off from coming at him again. He looked as if he were about to throw up. âBy the Angel,â he said. âDonât ever do that again.â âOh yeah?â Jace grinned, and almost meant it. âThat bad?â âLike kissing my brother,â said Alec, with a look of horror in his eyes. âI thought you might feel that way.â Jace crossed his arms over his chest. âAlso, Iâm hoping we can just gloss over all the irony in what you just said.â âWe can gloss over whatever you want to,â Alec said fervently. âJust donât kiss me again.â âIâm not going to. I have other business to take care of.â Jace stood up, kicking his chair back. âIf anyone asks where I am, tell them I went for a walk.â âWhere are you actually going?â Alec asked, watching him walk to the door. âTo see Clary?â âNo.â Jace shook his head. âIâm going to the Gard. Iâm going to break Simon out of jail.â
Hey yâall! Myself and my friend noticed there was a big hole in the TSC fandom - namely, that there isnât a Discord server for us all to come together and appreciate/freak out over our favourite Shadowhunters.
So we decided to fix it! Here is your official notice of the creation of The Downworld, a place for us to talk theories, go crazy over our beloved ships, worship those characters that maybe donât get enough love fandom-wide, and of course, appreciate the absolute genius that is Cassandra Clare.
All we ask is that you be kind and respectful to each other, and agree to our server rules thatâll you see when you join. The server is also 18+ only, so unfortunately we wonât be able to allow minors to join.
If youâd be interested in joining, please feel free to reach out to me or @timesconvert and weâll get the ball rolling - donât be scared; unlike Jordan, we donât bite!
stop drawing cordelia carstairs as white challenge
i've been saying valentine was the true villain of tmi
the way people boil down the incest plot lines in tmi to pure cringy nastiness is one of my biggest pet peeves.
the "you're my sister" scene is actually heartbreaking because it's coming from an abused sixteen year old who's abuser saw him finding strength and self worth in love, said "absolutely not", and proceeded to make him feel a level of self loathing so profound he thought he was demonic.
it's supposed to be uncomfortable to read because it's a tragic form of abuse inflicted on both jace and clary and to boil it down to "oh well it was incest fic and i hope cc doesn't have brothers and blah blah blah" just tells me you lack the ability to think critically about the series or just missed the entire point.
cohf supremacy this book is easily the best in tmi and one of cassie's best overall
