god cassie is really fucking destroying me with james' internal monologues
i have another tsc confession: i didn't really care about christopher's death either
EXCUSE ME?
CORDELIA YOU ARE MARRIED
MATTHEW YOU ARE LITERALLY TRYING TO FUCK YOUR PARABATAI'S WIFE
JAMES MY BABY OH GOD
@aqueerincrisis is about to explode with rage in 5…4…3…2…1:
i was in the trenches as a luke girly then and i'm ready to do it again now 🤺
this is james herondale erasure
those tsc boys have got to stop coming up with the most insanely suicidal plans. looking at you two in particular, Jace Herondale and Simon Lewis.
Oh jocelyn and the memory thing. I hadnt really thought it through before but she quite literally did not have to do that like the lost herondales managed all right for generations and they had people actively hunting them down for half the time. I also get icked out by how she treated baby Sebastian, like she could tell he was evil but he was still a baby who hadnt done anything yet.
THIS!!!
she stole clary's memories AND neglected johnathan which left him vulnerable to valentine. mother of the year 👏
i firmly believe if jocelyn took johnathan with her when she fled he would have grown up better. i mean look at that comic with johnathan and valentine. he's a CHILD who just wants to know where his mom is.
ALSO
can we talk about how, like all the circle members except maybe luke, jocelyn didn't actually care that valentine was spewing racist rhetoric against downworlders?
like yeah she acknowledges he was wrong, but let's be completely honest here: it became a problem for jocelyn when he began targeting the clave. targeting shadowhunters.
i will hate this woman until i die. she's a terrible person and parent and clary deserves better
grace telling people so freely about james' trauma that she caused is driving me insane
no let's talk about that last part some more.
james herondale's mind has not been his own since he was a child. he has had his consent and body violated and manipulated for decades.
cassie did such a good job portraying his anger, grief, loss, and pain. i'm glad he didn't hold back, because grace needed to hear straight from her victim the impact she had.
very little has ever been so simultaneously arousing, satisfying, and fucking heartbreaking as the scene of james ripping into grace. i waited and was RICHLY rewarded
one thing that really stuck with me after the last hours is how little cordelia and lucie feel like actual parabatai
i could see them as best friends for sure, but they lacked that spark cassie's parabatai bonds usually have
