DO NOT SUPPORT SALVATION ARMY
This is so cute! Good job!
Another cat redraw lmao
Yakko, Wakko, you’d better start running cause she wants to play tag, only, when she catches you, you’re dead.
demisexuality can be so hard to explain because it’s misconstrued as you just wanting to trust the other person before you have sex with them. and I get why the misconception happens. But demisexuality differs in that there isn’t sexual attraction at all before that bond forms.
I think what people have difficulty with is the idea that there are people out there who aren’t experiencing sexual attraction at all until a certain point, if ever, because we’re taught that sex, libido, and sexual attraction are all the same, both in and out of queer spaces.
And when you’re learning about asexuality and demisexuality, you may learn that people have romantic and aesthetic attraction separately from sexual attraction, and that sexual and romantic attraction aren’t necessarily intertwined, and that may challenge your worldview on sex.
But “I trust you enough to have sex with you” isn’t the same as “I’m not sexually attracted to anyone but you, and the reason I’m sexually attracted to you now after we’ve established this close bond is literally because of the bond of trust we’ve been able to form”.
It’s easy to see how those can get conflated. On the surface, if you’re unfamiliar with asexuality, they may sound the same. But it’s important to acknowledge the difference between “no sex until I trust you” and “no sexual attraction unless I trust you and maybe not even then”.
Demisexuality is housed under the asexuality spectrum. It’s part of the gray area between being allosexual and asexual. It’s part of why the definition for asexuality includes “little to no sexual attraction”. It’s a mostly asexual experience with an asterisk.
While being demisexual may have impacts on a persons sexual activity, even demisexuals have a varied relationship to the act of participating in sex. Libido and sexual attraction are not always intertwined either, which can make telling the difference tricky.
I think of sexual attraction as libido that has a compass. Since I rarely ever experience sexual attraction, but do have libido, it’s noticeable for me when that libido actually has a direction to go, rather than being a floating, nebulous, independent thing.
Remember, not everyone is demisexual. There’s a difference between waiting to have sex and not having sexual attraction at all until a certain point. This also inherently ties demisexuality to romantic attraction and relationships, and not all demisexuals are alloromantic.
But if you read what demisexuality is and think “everyone is like that” or “that’s just being a woman”, you either 1) are demisexual 2) don’t understand what it is or 3) both. And it’s okay to not know. Just as long as you’re willing to try to learn.
Hey guys, I thought I’d try to make a list like the one I’ve seen a few times on here. I’ve been really struggling to get the motivation to do some important things and to feel a wave of support behind me would help so much. I’ll even post pictures/proof of some kind that I’m doing the things so that you can feel the wonderful effect of helping someone get on top of their life :) I only seem to get notes on the fics I write, so my expectations are very low, but here goes
10 notes- I’ll start playing the piano again.
25 notes- I’ll finally finish my to-do list (it includes things like clean my hamster babies, update my calendar, buy a test I have to take to graduate college, etc)
50 notes- I’ll pull a late night/all-nighter to get completely caught up in my assignments
75 notes- I’ll thoroughly clean every part of my house.
100 notes- I’ll apply to 30 jobs so that I can make more money and not be so financially stressed.
200 notes- I’ll start writing a poem a day.
300 notes- l’ll finish fixing the links on my main, do maintenance on my other blogs and start three new blogs that I’ve been wanting to start forever but haven’t had the courage to (it involves posting my art that I’m self-conscious about)
500 notes- I’ll redo my formal wardrobe so that i can actually feel like who I am/who I’ve worked so hard to become when I’m dressed up.
750 notes- I’ll finally start my side blog business that terrifies me but is the beginning of the life I always wanted.
1k notes- I’ll start writing the fantasy book series that everyone (professors, friends, family etc) says has a high chance of getting published.
2k notes- I’ll record and post my first podcast episode (also something that excites and terrifies me because it would be the beginning of everything).
3k notes- don’t do this to me but…if I get to 3k I’ll stop doing the two things that are bad/addictive/potentially fatal in my life, tell my s/o about it, and get professional help.
Anything beyond that- I don’t really know, completing these things would be such a life altering experience. I’ll invest serious effort into ensuring I maintain this new life style? I’m not sure, but I’ll definitely do something significant to show my appreciation for that much support :)
Thank you so much for your help, it truly means so much to me.
omg did i miss something? is animaniacs not coming back for another season or smth? ;o; i keep seeing ppl saying goodbye to it
Sadly yes. The season three is the last one of the reboot, Hulu cancelled the show during production, that's why they released only 10 episodes instead of the usual 13. It came so sudden that even the producer, Gabe Swarr was surprised.
(sorry for some Hungarian text hehe)
Altough he implies here, the reboot could get new seasons if it's picked up by another streaming service.
For now the the best we can do is watch the new season on Hulu and giving it good ratings. It's also good to show our interest online wanting to see more of the reboot. Execs seeing interest, could pick up the show. (I saw people making the #renewanimaniacs on twitter!)
It's sad that such a good show got axed out of nowhere and they couldn't even finish in a way they are happy with it. But the new season is still good, so I highly recommend watching it! Also make sure to show love to the peeps who worked on the show, they deserve it for the amazing work they did!
Hey is anyone else's Hulu on their TV showing a scene from Little Drummer Warners (which was a segment shown in the 49th or 50th episode of the original Animaniacs show) as the thumbnail for the reboot Animaniacs 12th episode in the 2nd season?
(In other words, does the thumbnail for the reboot Animaniacs season 2 episode 12 look like this?):
Hate have say this but
