Hold the fucking phone. Is Frankie dressed as Tank girl and Wilt dressed as Booga? Like what the actual fuck. How did I fucking miss that?

The Inevitable Backlash

I’m personally torn on the events that occurred at Charlie Hebdo yesterday. As an artist I am a strong advocate in the freedom of speech and anti-censorship. I am also however very strongly the the idea that with those freedoms comes responsibility. It is a great tragedy what has happened, and in no way do I think that what had happened was warranted or that they had what was coming to them. I thoroughly detest religious and idealogical extremism on every level no matter what belief system is come from. But I also do not stand behind the phobic views against any person or group from any other person/group.

It is ridiculous and gross to think that people in this day and age think that reverting to extreme violence is any sort of answer to what ever may upset them. Two other things that are as equally as ridiculous and gross are that even though Charlie Hebdo was heralded as a champion of free speech, they along with everyone of their supporters were and are ignorant to the hate that they are unwittingly spreading, and the last thing is the fucking worldwide media is on top of all of this while the bombing of the NAACP chapter in Colorado is last page news.

Yes, I understand that no one was injured in the Colorado bombing but for fuck sake, can the media at least pretend not to be sensationalist shit bags and use the tools they have to spread the news equally and truthfully without dollar signs and their various agendas in mind. Wishful thinking eh?

My thoughts go out to all who have been affected in both incidences and to those who may be affected by the inevitable backlash by the collective ignorance in the world.
