Contributor applications for Tea, Toast & Ghosts are now open to writers, artists, and creators 🥳 Â
This zine’s theme is “What’s your favorite part of Lockwood & Co.?” with a twist. We challenge you to frame your piece as something you might see in one of the gossip rags Lockwood loves to read in his free time.Â
This means we are accepting proposals for fanart and fanfiction, as well as less conventional fanworks such as fake magazine articles, canon-related crafts & tutorials, recipes– anything a magazine might include to help Londoners get through their day during the Problem.
For more information, please see our FAQ and Contributor Guidelines. Our askbox is also open.

A fanzine is a collaboratively-published magazine of fanworks. It can include art, writing, and many other kinds of creative work.Â
Tea, Toast & Ghosts is a character- and ship-neutral celebration of the Lockwood & Co fandom, meaning you can submit both gen and ship-related ideas. It is also open to both book and show canon, meaning there will be spoilers for show-only fans.Â
This issue’s theme will be:
“What’s your favorite part of Lockwood & Co.?” with a twist. We challenge you to frame your piece as something you might see in one of the gossip magazines Lockwood loves to read in his free time.
This zine will be made available as a free digital PDF, set in single-page, portrait A4 pages. We will also have a text-only accessible version made available for blind and low-vision fans.
This zine will be SFW, and will allow submissions rated from G up to PG-13.
Applications are open until 21st August. Our schedule can be found here.
We ask that you include three proposals for your piece in your application, so that we can see how well it goes with the zine concept, and to make sure there aren’t too many of the same ideas among different contributors. We will confirm the idea proposals with applicants only after they have been accepted as a zine contributor so these do not need to be final.
Anyone interested, regardless of previous experience in zines or other related projects, may apply as a contributor.
A detailed list of eligibility requirements can be found in our Contributor Guidelines.
All applicants will be expected to include a working link to their portfolio (art account, writing account, or other examples of your work), so we can have a better understanding of who they are and what they may create for the zine.
Yes, so long as it is something you haven’t posted or shared publicly already. However, we recommend that you tailor your proposals so that they fit our concept and theme for this zine. New and unfinished works will be given priority.
Yes, you can. However, we expect that there will be spoilers for both the books and show in the zine. We recommend that you complete both series before applying.
We will be accepting several different forms of original, fannish work. A non-exhaustive list of examples can be found in the Contributor Guidelines.
Yes! We welcome both book and show interpretations of any Lockwood & Co characters.
Yes! The zine is open to collaborations, but between confirmed contributors only. Collaborators will be expected to communicate well amongst themselves so they can deliver their zine pieces on time.
An individual contributor may also create a multi-media piece that involves both writing and artistic aspects.
Content may be evaluated and rejected on a case-by-case basis by the mod team. The following are not allowed:Â
AI-generated content (Whether fully or partially; this applies to both artwork and writing.)
RPF (Real Person/People Fiction)
Original Character-centric pieces. This zine is first and foremost a celebration of the existing characters we all know and love. Inclusion of OCs can be discussed on a case-by-case basis.
Alternate Universe pieces (such as royalty AUs or spy AUs). This zine is set in The Problem-era England.
For further information, see the Contributor Guidelines.
We would love to have you! Please keep in mind that both the Lockwood & Co. Big Bang and this zine require a time commitment of several months where you will be expected to manage your own schedule, communicate with mods, and meet deadlines promptly.
While both events are centered around the same fandom, you will be expected to create a separate and unique piece for this zine.

I am so excited to announce that I've been working with @ayeaye-capn on the Lockwood & Co Big Bang!!! @lockwoodandcobigbang2023
This is so exciting for me as it's one of the first big bangs I've done and it was an awesome group of people to work with!
Please check out @ayeaye-capn 's page for the artwork that accompanies this fic!!!
i feel so bad for ruby. she left bridgerton to take the role of lucy.
i feel bad for cameron. this was his first official acting job and he did an incredible job.
i feel bad for ali. george karim was such a wonderful character and he was perfect for the role.
i feel bad for mr stroud. he wrote this incredible books and finally got it made into a show, a show so true to the books, it surprised even me that a book to show adaptation could be so well done. you could see how devastated he was in his post and i cried reading it.
i feel bad for complete fiction pictures. it was so awesome to see them interacting with the fans and you could tell they cared about this show.
i feel bad for everyone involved with the production of the show. all of their hard work to make the show amazing was much appreciated. i am so grateful for everything that went into the show from them and even though it won’t be continued, the season that we had was more than we could have ever hoped for.
i feel bad for us, the fans. we’ve spent months and even years in this fandom. the day that the teaser trailer dropped was one of the best days of my life. after years of living off of crumbs, sometimes not even, suddenly having an influx of new things to obsess over was such a great experience. and speaking of great experiences, having a community to talk about my favorite series has been one of the best things ever.
i am upset at netflix for not promoting our show and canceling it after not getting enough views. but even though we don’t get another season, i’m so glad i got to have this wonderful journey with you all. i love you guys.
Been really excited for today!!
This is my first big bang and first proper digital art work. Thank you so much @sammi-phoenix for your awesome work. I had so much fun working with you.
Everyone go read it here.
A big shout out to @lockwoodandcobigbang2023 for hosting this event! Thank you so much!
