Manolo being Zatz reincarnated is totally valid i think. Let's look at some of the people in Manolo's family.

One of his family members is missing his right eye, just like Zatz.

There is a pair of female skeleton twins, similar to skull and bone from Maya and the three.

Y Carmelo? The hat he has on is a jaguar. And what was the prophecy in Maya and the three? Exactly.

The evidence doesn't stop there.

One of the floats in the land of the remembered is one of a ship. This can be seen two ways. This could be regarding skull and bone again, since they were pirates, or it could have to do with Maya's family. Dagger got a bandit queen's earring for her birthday. A bandit queen, who was a pirate. And we know that Zatz y Maya are endgame so their families are basically intertwined together. One of the other floats that the Sanchez family has is one of a temple. A temple that looks similar to the barbarians temples. And we know Zatz's mom was a barbarian so...and not to mention that both Manolo y Zatz have mother's who died when they were really young and they were raised by single dad's and eventually in their story they would become orphaned because they were fighting for the person they love 🤨

NOT TO MENTION THE MOON AND SUN IN THE BOOK OF LIFE! Which btw, ITS ALWAYS REALLY BIG THROUGHOUT THE WHOLE MOVIE. The moon specially changes colors. In Maya and the three it's exclusively blue. It's small and looks like a skull. In the book of life, we see the moon as yellow and blue, it's huge, and it BARELY looks like a skull. In the final battle in the book of life, the sun AND moon are out at the same time! I think that just seals the deal that Manolo and Maria are Zatz and Maya reincarnated.

The way I physically can't stop drawing them haha (plus Chimi!), I also have to give love to The Book of Life today too!

It’s confirmed by the writers on Twitter. Their souls are unbound as the sun and moon many years later and they are reborn, reincarnated as new people. Also anyone who thinks Maya and Maria don’t look that much alike. For one they don’t have to be 100% identical they still each look very much alike, and two to be fair they’re full grown in TBOL Maya and Zats were like 15, and three the story of Maya and the Three isn’t told with wooden figures.

A is in the middle of cooking dinner for both themself and B, but B is set on playing their favorite song and forcing A to dance with them in the kitchen. Something is guaranteed to be knocked over by the time the song ends.

A is trying to cuddle with B before they sleep, but B is hitting A with a pillow. After a numbered amount of pillow slaps, A gets tired of it and grabs the pillow out of B’s hands after sitting up. Pillow violence ensues.

B calling A pet names, except the pet names get gradually worse. B is trying not to laugh when they look at the priceless reactions of A after listening to those atrocities of pet names.

A and B wrestling in the middle of a cuddle session because B just won’t stop talking, and A makes it worse by tickling B, making B scream-laugh until they can’t even talk without feeling burnt out.

A is trying to kiss B on the neck, but B won’t stop talking in a ridiculous voice/accent which forces A to kiss B on the mouth so they can shut up.

A trying to work on something but B keeps coming back every few minutes with a new distraction. But this time around, A drags B into their lap and smothers them with kisses in rebuttal with no mercy. Bonus: B gives up on distractions and naps in A’s lap for the rest of their work session after the kiss attack.

Hi! I'm writing a fluff fic about a couple in where Person A has been getting constantly stressed from work and Person B decides to leave a nice latte every morning for them to try and cheer them up. When the week finished, Person A finally gets to talk to Person B about the cute lattes they have been doing. I have two very serious characters and I want to let their guards down so they can flirt, how can I make it not sound forced? And how do I make it not sound like fanfiction?

I'm here to help! Hopefully I can actually be of service.

Since they're both serious, they'll probably keep the flirting low-key at first. They'll start out with subtle gestures, like a wink or a lingering handshake, then move onto braver things, such as verbal flirting or more physical touch.

As for letting their guards down, they'll probably try to deny it all at first, claiming they just want to be close to one another. Then they'll think about it more and more, and finally, accept it. They'll feel fluttery and awkward around each other, and think everyone else notices them, but really, not many know (unless they have very observant people around them).

Remember, it won't be overnight. It will take awhile for both of them to let loose and flirt. If they're in a work environment, they probably keep it a secret because of the stereotypes of relationships between co-workers.

One person will probably open up before the other, signaling they're okay with flirtatious actions. It just takes one to be braver/more open to the idea than the other. Usually, if one does it, the other will follow.

The main thing is time. As I said, it won't be quick, and it will be subtle at first. It won't be a major outburst of flirting and feelings like most fanfictions portray it. One character may flirt more than the other, one may not like PDA, or they become fearful of judgement. There can be lots of anxiety around making a relationship public, so it may be something they have a conversation about.

Additionally, if they're not already in a relationship, they may assume that the other is into them. It's simply human nature. Sometimes we notice someone being nicer to us than others, and quickly assume that they are trying to flirt. Let your character make a fool of themselves because they assumed someone had a crush on them. Not only can it help us see how the character reacts to embarrassment, but it can give the audience something to relate to!

I figured I could give some of my experience as a reserved person who has flirted and dated before. I always waited a bit, to get really close to the other person. They usually started it first, and I followed. I was scared to embarrass them, or make them uncomfortable. It started in private at first, then expanded to every once in awhile in public. It was also never extravagant; just extra compliments, or non-physical things like winks and smirks. I'm not one who likes physical PDA, and your characters may not, either. (And, I'm not from a fanfiction, so hopefully this can give you some real life examples/tips to work off of, haha.)

And, finally, try to think about instances where you've been attracted to someone and flirted with them, if you're into dating. If not, consult your favorite romance novel, or movie. Visualising your writing as a movie can make it a lot easier, honestly. Always remember to have fun! Happy writing! Been drawing Troll Jim almost exclusively for so long I realized I didnt know how to properly draw Jim, so did a few sketches and explorations of human Jim post-Wizards! Still dont feel like I quite got him in my style yet but feeling happy with the direction so far. Almost there!

Another Wizards sketchdump cuz I can’t get over it 💙 One of my favorite parts (and favorite characters) was Callista/Deya’s sibling-like bonding with Jim 😭 so I drew a bit of that. Also had to draw more post Wizards Jlaire with Claire taking good care of Jim cuz that boy needs a LOOOOOOOT of rest and love after what he went through LOL (also, Jim and Claire would totally use her shadow portal ability to visit Nari, Archie and Douxie ❤️). And last but not least, of course, some sweet Zouxie, since I fell for this ship thanks to @tenyai ‘s lovely influence HAHAHA enjoy!

I love how everyone is pissed at the ending of RotT but ive barely seen any posts about Jim not saying ‘I love you’ to Claire. Like I get the ending is annoying im still so pissed about is but like still

When i realised this, it broke my stupid heart. Like, man, Jim’s liked Claire for ages and SHE still said it first and is the only one that we get to see that says it. Please tell me im not the only one that is pissed about this. I still love Jlaire tho, I will never ever hate or dislike it.

I like to think that the beginning was Blinky narrating the whole story, but he fabricated a bit. I make me think that he made up the bit about Jim time traveling and some of the characters death.

And I whole heartdly agree about the ending being horrible

how is blinky NARRATING as if hes telling the story of the movie at the beginning of “rise of the titan” if at the end of the movie jim goes back in time and effectively makes it so nothing ever happened 😐

(SPOILERS) 

I was re-watching Jlaire in Wizards and in Trollhunters and I can easily tell how much they have grown relationship wise. So in Trollhunters we can see that Claire likes Jim and vise versa BUTTTT, we see it even more in Wizards. So here are my points.

Comforting: Jim is always comforting Claire in Trollhunters but way way more in Wizards because he has the shard in his chest.

Careing/Worring: They are always worrying about each other. In Trollhunters we see that whenever Jim has done something stupid or is about to get hurt Claire always screams out his name and yeahhh. In Wizards, Jim is about to get killed and Claire always runs to help him. Same with Jim, Whenever Claire is in danger the first name that always comes to her mind or that she always says is Jims. Close to the end of Wizards, when Jim reveals that the shard going into heart no matter what, even though Claire is guilty that she has shadow magic at first, she said that she would learn a spell just for JIm. You can also tell by the expresion she had on her face when he told her. 

Words: Claire is the only one who says it but in Trollhunters we see her call Jim her ‘Boyfriend’ twice and also says ‘I love you’ to him once. In Wizards basically in every episode, she calls Jim her boyfriend. 

Physical: In Trollhunters there are only slight shows of Jlaire happening, but in Wizards, they kiss/hug in basically every episode. Claire also teleports him to the location of his house a few centuries before it was built just for a date, to remind him of him and THEM, There relationship. Personally i think it would of been better if she travelled to the place where they had their almost first kiss when they where dancing to Eres Tu, That would be better to me.
