TLDR: This is my headcanon for how I believe Saiyans wedding traditions work! (At least in U13)
Hopefully my writing isn’t too small but in case it is, I’ll just quote it all below. Enjoy! (Also here’s another rupphire inspired drawing,,,, hope y’all don’t mind lol)
“The earring is also important. Similar to a wedding ring, it symbolizes marriage. The cuff earrings are typically made of brass and can be easily customized, usually with engravings on the inside. Unlike in human culture, there isn’t another set. There is only one set, it’s only the positioning that changes. Each partner gets one cuff for the opposite ear. When engaged, each will position it on the lower part of the ear. Once married, they will place it higher up.”

“When proposing, the earring will be tied to the flower’s stem.”
“When proposing, one person will present the flower with the earring tied to it to their significant other and ask if they accept the proposal.”
“If the answer is a definitive ‘yes,’ then the recipient will take the earring and put the flower in the presenter’s hair.”
“If the answer is ‘yes, but not right now,’ then the recipient will put the flower in their own hair but give the earring to the presenter. They will keep it until the both of them are ready.”
“If the recipient is unsure or needs to still think about it, then they’ll take the earring but not the flower and will take it only if they accept it.”
“If the answer is ‘no,’ then the recipient won’t take anything at all.”
“Saiyan wedding ceremonies are a lot less extravagant than human ones. Each partner will wear something significant to their family line and that’s as far as it goes dress-wise. However for Kakarot and Vegeta, that wasn’t the case as they went all out and had a Human-Saiyan mixed wedding since they got married on Earth, partly as an act of unity between Planet Vegeta and humanity (officially).”
“That’s a story for another time. Sorry!”
*pointing at Vegeta* “Wearing his father’s old coronation attire as a wedding suit”
*pointing at Kakarot’s shoes* “Part of father’s old headband”
“The flower is used in the ceremony by cultivating its seeds and blending them into a strong and potent drink. This drink is said to give anyone who drinks it a longer lasting life along with a small power boost. Consuming it symbolizes an unbreakable bond, ever lasting even after death. This part is usually presented by both of the couple’s families, however it’s more acceptable nowadays to have it be presented by an elder of either of their respected communities. The only people allowed to drink this beverage is the couple.”
*pointing at both Kakarot and Vegeta* “kneeling”
*pointing at Bardock* “Yes, Bardock is alive in this AU!
“But be careful, it’s quite an eclectic taste.”
Vegeta: *thinking* Bitter…
“After that part of the ceremony has ended, each partner will move their earrings up. They are married and the reception will begin!”
“With lots of food obviously.”
So, the article 13 thing. You seem to know a lot about it so can I ask a stupid question? Does it affect the UK too?
I would think so??
I only say that since this article was created and put in place by the EU before Brexit happened. However, because it’s been over a year now and Brexit happened only a few months ago. From what I’ve gathered, not a lot has happened since Article 13 (now called Article 17) has been passed. As an American, I don’t really know if it still affects the UK since they are no longer under the EU but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t be worried about it now. There is a new law that the EU is trying to pass where they require every social media (especially YouTube) to have an “upload filter”, or some sort of algorithm that scans for stolen content or copyrighted material before posting. This sounds fine on the surface but if you know anything about how bad YouTube’s algorithm is and how it’s known for companies’ complete abuse of the copyright system, this is a bad sign. They are planning completely implement this filter by June 2021 so please be wary and contact your MEPs. Here’s a link to an article about what’s happened since Article 13 has passed:

I reblogged your post Article 13 but if i may ask, which country is this article for?? you said if you live in Europe so is this something currently happening in Europe? im sorry if this is a dumb question, i just assumed automatically that this was something happening in the US due to our recent scare with internet freedom/neutrality and i just want to be clear where this is happening so i dont spread misinformation! Thank you for answering and have an awesome day!
That’s not a dumb question at all! Article 13 was passed by a group called EU, the European Union. It’s main use is to protect people that fall under the European copyright law. Unfortunately however the European copyright laws are a lot stricter and different than copyright laws in America. The difference being in America, we have the “Fair Use” law while Europe has the “Permitted Use” law. Which sounds relatively the same but there’s a big difference with Europe’s law. With “Permitted Use” you need to have permission from a company, government, or artist to post something on the internet. In the U.S, “Fair Use” is used when someone uses/talks about a product for educational, commentary/criticism, research, or journalism. But the reason why there are so many loopholes in “Fair Use” is so that it can remain flexible for the following generations. “Permitted Use” is only meant for parody, quotation, private copying, or classroom use. Again, it might sound similar but it’s not. Europe doesn’t allow that kind of flexibility that the U.S does. Their politics simply doesn’t allow for it since their policies are much, much stricter. For example, if you were to use a meme about Super Smash Bros., the US would say “Well it’s not really based commentary or criticism but it’s not like this person is trying to steal Nintendo’s video game and trying to pass it off as their own so it’s Fair Use.” But Europe would say (as the doctrine is written) “Is this meant for educational purposes? Does it quote something? Is it a parody? No? Then you get a copystrike.” (I know the “parody” part sounds confusing but in the Copyright in the Information Society Directive [2001], it’s only considered parody if it’s in the same formula like in a parody song. Think of Weird Al Yankovic. It needs to have lyrics that are in the same melody and it needs to make fun of the original work.) The reason why this affects the U.S as well is because websites such as YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, etc. are used in places around the world, including Europe. So when different countries have different laws, big social media companies will go for the strictest laws to keep every internet user equal instead of going through the hard labor of making completely different polices for different versions of said site to other countries. That’s the reason why you’ve probably gotten the “We’ve updated our privacy policy” email from all your social media accounts in September. Why? Because the EU just decided to pass Article 13 and everyone of those sites are going to comply with those new rules in order to stay alive. I think the biggest problem with all these new internet laws that are popping up like what happened with the FCC last year with “Net Neutrality” and now EU with “Article 13” is that we have these older generations of political figures that just simply don’t understand what the internet is meant to do and why the rules we have now are completely fine the way they are. Really makes you think. Anyway, sorry for the long post but I hope I answered your question! Also, I hope you have a nice day today too! If you have more questions feel free to DM me.
Here’s the final product of my Gorillaz magazine project! Thank you to the person who asked the 11th question! (Mainly because you were the only person you asked and rest of the questions I had to write myself) Also, I’m sorry I don’t have your name up because I couldn’t seem to find your account. Sadly, however, something went wrong with the png file so I wasn’t able to show a clearer digital image of the entire thing so that’s why the quality is so shitty here. I hope you enjoy it! 😊👍
DOES ANYONE HAVE SCREENSHOTS FROM THE MURDOC AND 2D QNA AT THE BEGINNING?? DID I MISS IT??
More sketches of my u13 au but this time, a full view of their wedding attire! (featuring Turles, Bulma, and Gine helping em get ready ^^)
I can’t wait for when I get done writing the first few arcs of the au in my master doc! Just need to get done with some assignments first but I promise it’ll be done! (Eventually 😅)
Decided to do more analysis on my 70s purple jumpsuit look for Dark. Also some more Darkstache in general cuz why not lol
Okay, to put the negativity of the world aside. Here’s some nice little random doodles.
This is an interactive webcomic. Will you run or fight? It’s your choice! Depending on what you choose, the story will change as a result so choose wisely. ;))
