Petition For People To Stop Asking Sebastian Stan About Bucky And For Sebastian Stan To Stop Making Me

Hello! My friend is a huge fan of yours. You have inspired her to write and create in amazing ways and I want to thank you for that. Especially with good omens - season two was amazing and we both did quite a bit of screaming at the tv - you are a huge inspiration. I would love to get her a signed copy of good omens for her birthday next year, but I haven’t been able to find any up to date information on how to do that. I looked into buying something used but there were too many sketchy options. Do you have any sources that are more official or a way for me to send a book? Thank you again!

The Golden Notebook in Woodstock. It's my local bookshop and four or five times a year I pop in and sign a few thousand books for them.

I went to the Marvel: Universe of Super Heroes exhibit and wanted to share for anyone who has not seen it. I am under the impression that the installation changes from location to location so I wanted to show this snapshot in time. I fully admit to being biased in what I will post so if you want to see a particular character, please let me know! Apologies ahead of time for my crappy photo taking skills.

Bucky Barnes (Winter Soldier)

Bucky did not have a dedicated section and his items were spread out between Steve, Sam, and Natasha's displays. He didn't even have a character plaque! 😭😭😭 The one solace I take is that the people squealing in excitement at seeing his items were the most enthusiastic.

I may or may not have gasped and babbled like a lunatic when I saw this. I love Wakanda Bucky and took way too many pictures. Just knowing that Sebastian wore this made me feel so emotional. 😭😭😭 But I was wondering why the sign said it was from The Winter Soldier instead of Infinity War or Endgame. The shield is from Age of Ultron.

There was a small monitor showing production images and I was absolutely thrilled to see these pictures of Sebastian in the costume test shots. That first pose is hilarious! Also just loving his long hair! I'm sorry for the poor image quality but this was the best I could do in a dark room.

This was part of Steve’s installation but Bucky was definitely a big part of it. I'm actually digging the domino mask that he wears in the comic books!

I wish there had been more Bucky content in the exhibit but it was still pretty amazing to see his costume up-close. I would love to see his Winter Soldier outfit someday!

Great for those compulsive phone checkers that really don't need to be doing it when you're actually with your friends. 

After all, if you're already with your friends (or a friend) you don't need to be ignoring them to chat with your other friends unless it's something important you've already let them know you're waiting to hear on.

Introducing our new game called:

“Don’t Be A Di*k During Meals With Friends.”

The first person to crack and look at their phone picks up the check.

Our (initial) purpose of the game was to get everyone off the phones free from twitter/fb/texting and to encourage conversations.

Rules:

1) The game starts after everyone has ordered.

2) Everybody places their phone on the table face down.

3) The first person to flip over their phone loses the game.

4) Loser of the game pays for the bill.

5) If the bill comes before anyone has flipped over their phone everybody is declared a winner and pays for their own meal.

Variations/house rules:

-Starting the game after everyone is seated.

-In the rare event that multiple people flip their phones simultaneously, the bill is split between said players.

- Feel free to invoke penalties/strikes systems.

Notes:

- No touching or messing with anybody else’s phones.

- You don’t have to stack the phones. This was done for picture taking purposes.

- I realize I should perhaps think of a different name for this awesome game. Because I don’t mean to imply that everyone who checks their phone during meals is a di*k.

- I recommend not being such a stickler or hardass on people about the rules and even initiation of the game. Basic premise is to just get people open to the idea of staying active and attentive to one another. But if someone has to take a call; they have to take a call =).

- Have fun! It’s really more of a fun concept in this new age high tech life of ours. Conversation is the spice of life.

the fact that we only have “herculean task” and “sisyphean task” feels so limiting. so here’s a few more tasks for your repertoire

icarian task: when you have a task you know you’re going to fail at anyways, so why not have some fun with it before it all comes crashing down

cassandrean task: when you have to deal with people you KNOW won’t listen to you, despite having accurate information, and having to watch them fumble about when you told them the solution from the start (most often witnessed in customer service)

feel free to chime in i ran out of ideas much faster than i anticipated
