Without collaborative effort fundraising is impossible. This does not boil down to one person (or a handful of people) we all must partake
Shahed (@drshahd) and her family just survived a violent shooting in their neighbourhood, hearing gunshots for hours on end. They now have to evacuate to another area if they don't want to be killed. They are a family of 7, all supported by Shahed who is at the same time preparing her finals.

I really need people to realize that scammers are gonna scam. It's already known that scam bot farms exist. There is literally one in Asia (forgot where as I read the article last week) which kidnapped people to scam people through dating apps. It is not out of the equation that there are people using Palestine to scam people, whether it be Hamas, another Iranian proxy or Iran itself, notorious scam groups or individuals not tied to any scam group.
It's also important to understand that people can and do create fake profiles to make a profile seem more legit. Unless you yourself can verify an account which is "verifying" people asking for money, do not trust them, and even then, if you can verify an account doing verification, it is not outside the realm of possibility that said account is not doing a good job at verification.
It is important that civilians in Gaza get money and donations, do not read this as me being against it, people just need to be more aware of bad actors who simply want your money for the sake of getting rich.
In ~these times~ it is important for queer people to be reminded of what "coming out" originally meant. "Coming out" did not mean telling all of your co-workers something super stigmatized and vulnerable about you, wearing your queer status on your sleeve in public, informing the police or government institutions about your sexuality, or even telling your parents. "Coming out" meant venturing out into the queer community; being among other queers as a queer yourself.
Coming out isn't about telling the entire world when doing so is not safe for you, it's not about arming your enemies with information they could use against you. No, coming out is about making a fulfilling queer life possible for yourself through participation in the queer community. It is about escaping the restrictions and dangers of the cisgender heterosexual world by rooting oneself more deeply into the queer one.
And you can always do that. No matter how oppressed we are. No matter how much the culture shifts and policies are enacted to terrorize us. We are always able to be ourselves when we are amongst each other. And living our queerness has always been a collective social project, not just a matter of personal exposure.
Hello, I'm Ola, a graduate student from the faculty of science - Al-Azhar University in Gaza Palestine. I truly appreciate you taking a moment to read my story. As you reading my message, myself and my family, “my mother, father, three sisters, and my little brother,” are fighting death in northern Gaza and trying to survive under all kinds of suffering including but not limited to destruction, fear, and instability, starvation, thirst, and poverty.
For nine months until now, we have been struggling to get proper food after prices increased by 15 to 20 times, struggling to have clean water for use and drinking. We lacked security and stability as we were forced to evacuate our house and left everything behind. Then we had to move at least three times since every new area we seek refuge to gets bombed.
I sincerely hope you can empathize with our dire situation and consider supporting us. You can follow me to make sure I am not a scammer and to inquire about any details. Your generosity has the power to make a significant difference.
Please reblog my post, follow me and boost my posts, and repost the link to our campaign across all your social media.
