So we all remember that in the beginning of episode 4, Caine reads some adventure requests of Jax & Zooble both being assholes to each other. To be specific, I’m going to be talking about Jax & Zooble’s reactions to this one:

So Jax smiles and pretends that it didn’t hurt his feelings that Zooble requested that he shuts the fuck up all day while Zooble stares at Jax in anger because Jax requested an adventure where they get the shit beaten out of them:

But then something interesting happens. Jax’s smile falls for a brief second or possibly even a fraction of a second to reveal that his smile was fake and that his feelings were actually hurt by this. Many people have pointed this out. But what I have just noticed that I have not seen anyone point out before is that when Jax’s smile falls, Zooble’s angry stare softens and you can see that they feel genuinely guilty for hurting his feelings.

There is so much empathy & insecurity underneath Zooble’s aggressive & cold attitude. *Sighs* I love Zooble too much and noticing what I just noticed only made me love Zooble even more than I already do :)

Can we talk about how much Shuichi idolizes and ignores people’s flaws (Kaede and Kaito) and just sees them as all great who’s words are never questioned? He puts them on such a high pedestal that their bad behavior is somehow justified in his mind. If Kaito were this homophobic I think Shuichi would immediately think there was something wrong with him instead of something wrong with Kaito’s morals.
