A thought came to me in the middle of the night. Imagine Reddie in a photobooth and they have one more photo to take before the timer runs out, so Eddie pulls Richie in to kiss him on the cheek for it.

After the flash, Richie blurted out "yep, I'm gay." (Idk if I originally thought that he was already out and it wa already obvs who his crush was..)

Eddie dashed to the curtain with a quiet, "me too," but Richie quickly grabs him back in to ask, "wait.. what? Are you for real?"

Eddie repeats himself and added, "and I like you," leans in to kiss Richie. "What do you want to do about it?"

For which Richie scrambles for another quarter out of his pocket to put in the machine and instantly brings Eddie close for more kisses.

When not if adult!Reddie get together in the happy ending, I can picture Richie being an incredibly handsy boyfriend - as if personal bubbles aren't a thing - because he's been fighting his sexually for years and now he has a BOYFRIEND and it's his childhood crush since he was thirteen and it takes a lot of willpower to not always have Eddie sitting in his lap, and even himself thinks it's crazy because he's forty years old but he can't stop and that's just adorable to imagine okayy

I keep thinking about that Bill Hader interview where he said Richie was going through a lot of self-hate but if Eddie was to say something first then Richie would be all for it.

So what if one of the losers accidentally mentioned who Richie likes around Eddie and he's mad and shouts "WTF, YOU LIKE ME AND YOU HAVEN'T SAID ANYTHING, YOU ASSHOLE?" Because obvsly Eddie likes him too
