Day 7: Free day

I made a beach episode for goodbye (I promise, last story is sweet and lovely. Anyone who read previous ones deserves fluff and good vibes)

Now storytime:

Summer heat came earlier than usually and that means earlier pool parties! Goof family was spending day with Petes in a backyard with big swimming pool.

PJ unlike the others was rather gloomy today. He came to Max in order to „have a talk”

”So where to start with… have you and Bradley ever had a weak time or something like that? You know, when you get annoyed or disinterested in each other?”

”Peej. You know us since yesterday? We almost broke up two times. Relationship crisis became our theme for a first year.”

”Yeah, but like after this whole time do you still have situasions like that?”

”PJ, what is going on? Are you and Mocha on a bad terms?”

”I don’t know. For some time now she gets irritated by everything and I feel like we’re drifting away.”

”Hey now. Have you asked what happened?”

”She always says ‚nothing’ or hums at me.”

”So it’s a tough one. Maybe she just doesn’t feel loved enough. When was the last time you told her she’s pretty or showed her something? I don’t see you making that often.”

”Why would I? Mocha knows she’s pretty.”

”Peej.” Max glared at friend with crossed arms

”What?”

„I guess we’ve found the problem. Of course she knows, but when you don’t hear it from your loved one you start doubting it.”

”I don’t think it works like that.”

”It works exactly like that.”

”Oh really?”

”Really. And I will show you the living proof of that. BRADLEY! COME HERE!”

Maximilians fiance started coming towards duo

”WHY are you yelling at me!?”

”Hi honey. You see, PJ has a little problem here. Can you show him what I mean when I say someone might know they are beautiful and still need approval?”

”Wha-„

”I’ll tell you the rest later.”

”You and your topics again. How to even show it?”

”Maybe on yourself and that piercing of yours?”

Bradley got red for a moment but quickly started explaining what Max had on mind.

”Well, I felt… really down one time… for a long time. Fuck, I can’t explain things like this. And well… it also felt awful that all of the couples around heard from each other what partner likes in them but I didn’t. I mean- I know we can’t do a lot of the things like ‚normal’ couples do, especially in public, what I mean is… even when I was telling Max what I like in him I myself felt like I don’t receive the same amount of attention, that Max is disinterested in me and I started doubting in myself. Basically I spiraled, other things happened and I got even worse - honestly I have no idea how you lasted with me through it” Bradley looked at his husband-to-be for a moment „-but it got better when Max once came to me at my worst and told me that he always liked my nipple and clavicle piercing and that I should show it more often near him. This… really made me feel better. So yes- telling someone they look good makes world a better place or something.”

”Thank you sweetie”

”No problem princess. Hope you’ll join us soon in the water. Now-” Bradley stretched himself „- I will go and do a sweet revenge on Pistol for that macaroon attack”

”Don’t worry PJ. It really works. Won’t solve everything but it’ll open a person up. Treat it like a first step okay?”

”I guess I’ll try”

On a next day Max got a message from Peej. The SMS read:

”It worked! Thanks Max!”

Maximilian couldn’t help but giggle

”Whats so funny Maxie?”

Bradley hanged himself on Max looking at his face

”Nothing, just PJ discovering art of sweetness and compliments”

”Good for him” Bradleys and Maxs eyes locked. Goof served a short kiss on the lips. Bradley made him taste much longer and stronger one. The strength however made the two fall on a couch.

”So… what nice thing you will tell?”

”I love you. I love your fluffy hair and your crooked teeth and your piercing. I love you whole”

”I love you too Bradly”

(Hi! Here’s me the author. Thank you for reading this short story/stories. It means a world to me! If you enjoyed it (or not- valid) tell me if you want to get a bit more from this story or ask me questions about it. Also I’d like to hear some advice/critique because I’m not native english speaker and never thought of writing something like at all. I did it only for Sasori week once and decided to cultivate my little tradition. Actually I never intended to make that story leave my head but here we are haha. I know that some dialogues are unnatural, because I had to infodump certain things, but what else you know. So again - questions, critique, continuation or not. It would be great to hear this all! <3)

Hey! So- yes it is really rushed and it’s not even a full story. Sorry to brag again, but my mental health is all time low and I had little to no time to work on it. Next part will hopefully be better and more planned out but you’ll have to wait. Like, wait wait

when I drew this comic 3 years ago I had NO idea how far it would reach. I'm happy to finally share a corrected version with proper abbreviations, and even MORE state names of indigenous origin ♥️

however, the goal of this comic was to inspire people to do your OWN research on indigenous history. To question everything we have been taught, and everything that has been pointedly left out. This erasure, this “forgetting”, of history is not just of the past… it is happening now. - Across so-called Canada, the US, and US-occupied islands, native women are victims of murder at 10-12x the rate of non-native people, and are the most likely to go missing without being searched for by the law. - Native reservations have the highest rates of poverty in the US, with over HALF of tribal homes with no access to clean water (with more joining this list by the year) - Native people are 6-10x more likely to be unhoused than the rest of the population, and native teens suffer suicide rates higher than any other demographic. This list of modern day genocide goes on (thank you for compiling @theindigenousanarchist <3) and yet take a look at those environmental stats!

Native people manage to do SO much for the planet as a whole - thanklessly - and with all this stacked against them. Don't even get me started on kin fighting in south america. Could you imagine if there was help? #landback is resistance to genocide, and it is the key to saving our warming earth.

So look into it and the other hashtags, cuz a cartoon goose ain't a substitute for a proper education. Love to my grandparents who always kept a map of tribal territories of turtle island on their wall, to speaking on our Tsalagi & Saponi heritage. Love & solidarity forever, happy research, and happy #indigenouspeoplesday
