Overwhelmed (Vinny x Garmadon Part 10)

(this is probably gonna be a short chapter, I suggest you read parts 1-9 if you haven’t already, but yea I have a little bit of time❤️❤️ Also Wu told Misako about everything and what Jay said.)

Awhile late Garmadon was walking around until he bumped into Misako. “Garmadon..”The woman said(ahh yess the woman) “Misako….”Garmadon replied. “I’ve wanted to ask you a question about a certain someone Misako said, Garmadon obviously knew who he was talking about, “Great now you too…”He mumbled earning a confused look from Misako. “I’m curious about you and Vinny, you both seem really close and and Wu told me when Jay asked a specific question you seemed upset as to happen at you did” Misako said (yes I made Misako a pain in the ass cause she is one no offence to anyone who likes her) “He told you what a happened and that it was an accident” Garmadon hissed. Misako put her hands put in this ok calm down way “I’m just saying you seem a little protective of him, and I’m just curious what would happen if someone hurt him” Misako said earning a death stare from Garmadon it was true he was protective of Vinny but that’s not his fault if the son of a god fell in love with a normal human of course he was gonna be protective. “If someone hurt him what would you do…and why is he special in some way..?” Misako asked. “I would kill them and for you to suggest that there is something going on between us is ridiculous” Garmadon replied trying to keep his cool. “What would happen if he almost died…?”She asked again. At that point Garmadon was losing it and clenched his fists, “You don’t want to know the answer to that…”He replied

“You seem tense is the thought of something bad happening to him that disturbing”She said, “I already told you there’s nothing going on between us”He repeated slowly getting annoyed. “I’m just curious what changed? That could’ve brought you two closer together”She said, “I already fucking told you nothing changed”Garmadon repeated for a third time. “No something has changed everyone knows it I’m pretty sure some of the ninja are catching on”Misako said continuing to be a pain in the ass. “Maybe something has changed but not between me, you, Lloyd or my brother, me deciding to change for the better doesn’t involve you, because not one of you decided to give a chance to change at least a normal fucking human who I’ve only spoken to once actually cared and gave me a chance, sure he was scared but who could blame him!”Garmadon shouted before walking away little did he know that there were many people eavesdropping.

Mk: *confused as to why his “mentors” totally not dads are fighting*

Wukong:*standing there with tears in his eyes*

Overwhelmed (Vinny x Garmadon)part 55

The ninja looked around the cavern for a little longer, Cole sat out, his arm was cut from the mysterious man. “Hey guys! I found something!” Jay called out as he held up a key with intricate patterns that looked like spikes on the top.

The lightning ninja went back to the group and handed the key to Zane who began scanning it. “Dragon bone and Ivory” The ice ninja spoke.

“Dragon bone and ivory…weird” Nya spoke, “Let’s go back to the monastery, we need to stitch Coles’ arm” She added as she pointed to the earth ninja who had his ninja hood tightly wrapped around his arm like a tourniquet.

The group nodded in agreement as they began going through the catacombs again, it took a while but they managed to get back out. “I have never missed the sky so much” Jay whined as he looked up.

They all got into their vehicles and drove to the monastery. “Who the hell was that guy though?” Kai spoke over the comms.

“No idea, but I hate him already” Lloyd replied, they spoke about the man till they made it back.

“Welcome back, did you find it?” Pixal greeted them as he turned towards them.

“There were two things, a chest and key, we have the key…but some weird man took the chest” Lloyd spoke.

“And he cut Coles’ arm!” Kai added, Pixal turned her attention to the earth ninja.

“Best we stitch it up” The female nindroid spoke as she pointed to a chair which Cole sat on. The elevator beeped as Garmadon and Wu came down.

“Vinny’s not back?” Nya asked, clearly surprised, the spinjitzu brothers shook their heads as they walked over.

“Should I call him?” Lloyd asked, but was cut off by the ping of his phone. He looked at it, “Nevermind…he said he’s like a minute away and asked if we’re back”

Garmadon looked slightly relieved that Vinny was coming back, he wanted to keep watch on him as much as possible. Cole winced slightly as Pixal disinfected his wound and began stitching.

“Did you retrieve anything?” Wu asked.

“Yes, a key, we also found a chest but a unknown man took it” Zane spoke.

“Unknown man? Strange…and I take it he done that?” Wu asked as he looked at Cole, they nodded in response.

There was an awkward silence before Nya spoke up, “Did you use that this morning? There’s a roll of bandages missing” the water ninja spoke as she looked in the first aid bag.

The two nindroids locked eyes with each other, they both had a promise to keep.

“Yes…the postman injured himself this morning” the female nindroid spoke.

“Really h-“ Jay asked but was cut off by the beeping of the elevator, Vinny was here.

“Welcome back” Nya spoke her voice slightly teasing, the cameraman smiled, he still had his bag on his shoulder.

“How was it? And what happened to him?” Vinny asked as he joined the group and pointed to Cole, he also hesitantly looked at Garmadon and gave him a small smile. It was the least he could do to show some recognition.

“We found a key…and some guy took a chest and cut Cole! Kai spoke, he was sitting next to Cole watching Pixal carefully stitch him.

“A guy? Really? What’d he looked like?” Vinny asked as he looked at the curiously.

“I can upload it from my memory onto the monitor” The ice ninja spoke as he grabbed a long cord and attached it to the back of his head and began typing things on the keyboard.

The group watched in anticipation, and Pixal finished the stitches. The screen loaded and a very familiar voice played, a voice that sent shivers down Vinnys’ spine as he stared at the man.

“Enji…” Vinny thought to himself as his hair stood up on ends, his hands trembled as Enjis’ voice played in the background from the video, this was bad…the one person he didn’t want anyone know about was getting involved.

The cameraman didn’t seem to notice the bright red eyes staring at him worriedly, to Garmadon he saw fear pure dread, he didn’t want to bring it up, but this man…Vinny clearly knew him.

“How does he make clones?” Jay asked as they continued to watch the videos, “It’s all fake” he added.

“It’s like illusions…” Vinny spoke, he wasn’t technically telling them anything revealing, he was helping his friends.

“That does make sense” Wu spoke.

“Where’s the key you found?” The cameraman asked, Zane handed the key to Vinny you looked at it.

“Best we don’t overthink it now…rest and talk about it tomorrow” Garmadon spoke, the group nodded, it was pretty late.

One by one they slowly left, Garmadon was a little stubborn, but Wu everntually managed to convince him to leave, now it was just Zane, Pixal and Vinny. “Are you alright Vinny?” Pixal asked, the cameraman nodded.

“You’re anxiety levels spiked when you saw the video” the ice ninja spoke, Vinny put the key down.

“Just a little worried about who this guy is” the cameraman spoke before he left, leaving the two nindroids very confused.

(I just had the biggest spark of motivation for this, I don’t know where from but it’s welcome, I hope you enjoy)

Willow finished eating a got up, “I’m gotta leave now” she sighed out, causing Vinny to look up at her sadly. “Don’t look at me like that I already feel bad” she chuckled.

“If I don’t get to see you again before I leave here I will die” The cameraman spoke, earning a louder laugh from the nature elemental.

“Don’t worry I’ll come” She answered, “Someone just needs to tell and if he doesn’t I will never forgive him” she continued as she stared at her brother, clearly talking to him.

“Very well…”Shancai sighed as he continued eating.

“If anything happens tell me” The cameraman spoke to her.

“Obviously” Willow laughed out, “And you need to tell me stuff too…I need relationship updates” she added, receiving a soft nod and chuckle from Vinny. “I’ll see you all in a few days” she spoke as he began walking off.

“Bye” The cameraman spoke as he waved, while Shancai just waved. They watched Willow slowly disappear and then just ate in silence. Shancai finished eating first though and got up, approaching the training equipment, “Whatcha doing?” Vinny asked curiously.

“Just fixing this” The prince answered as he tightened something on the spinner equipment. the cameraman nodded as he finished the rest of his food and drank some water. Shancai signalled for him to get up which he did. “You’ve seen this right?”

“Yep, they have a lot of this stuff in the monastery” Vinny answered as he watched the prince do some stuff that the cameraman had no idea about.

“You know about about fighting?” The prince questioned.

“I can punch and kick things that’s it…I punched Enji once” The cameraman answered, he smiled at the memory of punching Enji.

“Let’s start with this” Shancai spoke as he went to the spinner equipment, it’s that one thing Nya broke in Seabound when Kai was worried about her. The cameraman paid close attention as the prince, spun the equipment. “When it spins around you’re gonna hit here and here” he pointed to two of the wooden logs pointing out.

Vinny nodded in response, “You’re gonna block with your arm for this one, only way you can hit it is if you’re fast enough” the prince added, as he pointed to another small log. Shancai did a demonstration as it spun around, he punched the logs and blocked one.

As the cameraman watched, something shiny caught his attention from the corner of his eyes. As he looked at a box filled with weapons…but there was something a mix of gold and silver. Vinny walked over to the box and looked in it. He pulled two matching things.

“What you looking at?” Shancai asked as he walked over crouching next to Vinny. The cameraman held it up, “Arm bracers, I don’r use those” the prince answered, the arm bracers were pretty nice, a nice leather with a mix of gold and silver as well as a red gem that definitely wasn’t ruby.

“It’s nice” The cameraman spoke, as his eyes practically lit up and he admired it.

“You want them?” The prince asked cashing Vinny to look at him surprisingly.

“I-I couldn’t…” the cameraman spoke, he felt a little guilty at taking so much.

“I don’t use them and neither does anyone else” Shancai spoke as he took the arm bracers and Vinnys’ arms as he began putting them on. “And you clearly hurt your arms a lot” he added, causing the cameraman to blush embarrassingly.

“N-not my fault” Vinny defended himself, as he allowed the prince to put the arm bracers on. “They’re really nice…” he spoke up.

“They are…I’ve never been able to wear them without discomfort” The prince answered, receiving an understanding nod from the cameraman. “You’re welcome in our kingdom you know that?” Shancai asked curiously as he continued putting the arm bracers on Vinnys’ arms.

“Y-yea?” The cameraman answered confusingly.

“You have guilt when you’re given stuff…” The prince spoke, “My mother and sister trust you…I trust you, and you’re not seen as a guest to us, you’re seen as family” The prince added, Vinny smiled softly hearing that, he saw them as family just as much.

“Thank you…” The cameraman sighed, “You’re all just constantly giving and I have nothing to give back…” he confessed.

“You’ve helped us…knowing what Rida and Enji are doing where we can’t see them is more than enough…especially after what you’ve been put though…” the prince answered, as he soothed Vinnys’ concerns. Shancai tightened the arm bracers, “Done…”

The cameraman stared at his arms, he really liked how they looked and they felt really nice, “I like it” Vinny spoke happily as he smiled at the prince.

“Good, now they’re yours” Shancai answered, as he watched the cameraman turned his arms and admire the arm bracers.

“Thanks” Vinny spoke happily, if he had a tail it would be wagging.

“You like the cloak?” The prince asked, as he brought up the topic of the makeshift cloak.

“Yep! It’s really comfy and the pin keeps it together” The cameraman answered, as he stood up with Shancai.

“That’s good…” the prince sighed, “How’s your wound?” He questioned once more.

“It hurts a little, but it’s just like stinging pain nothing much” Vinny answered, “How’s your stomach?”

“Fine” Shancai quickly answered.

“Don’t bullshit me” The cameraman spoke.

“It’s a little swollen…” The prince confessed.

“Show me” Vinny spoke, causing Shancai to sigh as he lifted up his shirt and undid the bandages. The cameramans’ eyes widened as he saw the bruise, it was a large bluish, purplish bruise than covered most of his stomach. “Fucking hell…that looks painful…”

“It’s fine, I’ve had worse before” The prince answered.

“Yea well that doesn’t change the fact that it definitively hurts” Vinny sighed as he rubbed his temples.

“Are we training or not?” Shancai spoke, as he lowered his shirt, he clearly didn’t like talking about his well-being.

“Alright alright” The cameraman sighed, as they went back to where they were training before, Vinny trying his best to lessen his concern for Shancai. The two kept secrets from others, more specifically when they got hurt. The cameraman didn’t tell Garmadon while Shancai didn’t tell his family.

They were an interesting dynamic, but got along. As Shancai continued to demonstrate the actions to the cameraman, he eventually gave Vinny a turn.

Overwhelmed(Vinny x Garmadon) Part 99

Morning came quickly as Vinny was once again awoken by the blinding sun, it took him a minute to realise that Nyssa was still next to him, awake as well.

“Morning…” the cameraman yawned as he stretched.

“Mornin’ sleepy head, sleep well?” She asked as she stared out the bars.

“Yea…” Vinny answered, “Best sleep I had in a while, strange though considering I killed someone yesterday”

“Exhaustion caught up to you I guess” Nyssa chuckled, “Also you’re gonna eat, I don’t care what to you, you haven’t eaten in a while”

“Alright” the cameraman sighed out, he was too tired to protest and watched her get up and go to find some food.

As Vinny looked around the cell, he saw Tenshi in the same spot as al, the others day. He really like that spot. Though the cameraman looked away, he didn’t want Tenshi think he was prying.

Once again Vinny found himself staring out at the arena. The plan had to work. If it didn’t work…well, let’s say he would have no idea of how to escape and they would all die. He was drawn out of his thoughts by Nyssa coming back and sitting back down next to him while handing him a bowl.

“Tenshi’s in a mood” she spoke up, “but whatever plan you have must be good, right?”

“Yea…if I’m right it should take us out of this place” the cameraman answered as he stared at the bowl of ‘food’.

“Well, I don’t have much hope for it” Nyssa laughed, “but it’s our only option and I trust you, anyone who has the guts to yell at grandpa over there” she added as he pointed at Tenshi.

“Thanks…” Vinny sighed out as he reluctantly ate, just as bad as he remembered.

“So it’s gonna be groups of three, the three people you’re closest too when were sent to those other cells” Nyssa said, “Like it or not, but we’re gonna have to sit with Tenshi for a while”

“It’s fine, all I can hope is that he won’t kill me” The cameraman chuckled half-heartedly as he anxiously brushed a hand through his hair.

“He won’t, like I said, he’s just a grumpy old man” Nyssa laughed as she put a hand on his back. “Up you get, it’s best we sit close to him now” she added as she standing up.

“Alright…” Vinny sighed out as he stood up and followed her.

“Don’t kill him” Nyssa spoke to Tenshi as she slumped down against the wall, the cameraman sitting next to her, trying to avoid being near Tenshi.

“Don’t have a reason to” Tenshi muttered under his breath as he very obviously rolled his eyes.

“C’mon! Have some faith in him” Nyssa said as she gently elbowed him, “It’s worth a shot either way, you’ve been here for 25 years! Anything’s worth a shot”

Vinny smiled softly, he enjoyed having someone here believe in him. Nyssa had the welcoming energy Willow, and the love of Deity with wits of Shancai.

Tenshi was only much like Shancai, quiet, brave and strong, emotions well hidden. It wasn’t something that Vinny minded, sure Tenshi was on the grumpy side, but 25 years trapped in this hellhole? He couldn’t blame Tenshi at all.

“Keep eating” Tenshi just grumbled to Nyssa, who just laughed and kept eating.

“Honestly best out come for this is that we fight near the end” Nyssa spoke up, Tenshi nodded while the cameraman looked at them with curiosity.

“Beginning is when the more entertaining ones fight, near the end is the weaker ones” Tenshi explained.

“I don’t think we’re gonna go near the end” Vinny confessed.

“Why’s that?” Nyssa asked.

“Have you seen us? We have a man who’s been here for 25 years” the cameraman explained.

“He’s right, but if your plan works and it better work then it won’t be much of a problem” Tenshi spoke up as he glared at Vinny.

“Then we’ll just have to hope his plan works” Nyssa said with a smile as she tried comforting the cameraman.

The two just nodded as they sat in silence for a few minutes, the tension was thick yet no one wanted to break. No one knew what to say.

“Let’s say we do escape…” Nyssa began, her voice soft as she rested her head against the wall, “What are we gonna do?”

Silence. Before it was broken once more.

“Find my wife and kids…” Tenshi whispered as he caught both of their attention.

“That’s sweet…I never knew you were married…” Nyssa chuckled, “You?” She asked Vinny.

“I…” the cameraman spoke, his voice quiet. He didn’t really know what to do. He wanted to find his friends, he wanted to find Garmadon. But then what? Rida was still gonna go after him. Rida wanted something from him, but what?

“You okay?” Nyssa asked, it was obvious Vinny had a lot on his mind.

“Y-yea sorry…” the cameraman answered, “I need to get back to my friends and deal with something when I’m out of here”

“What about you?” Tenshi asked Nyssa.

“Me? I don’t have much planned” she answered though it was vague.

“Family or friends?” The cameraman questioned.

“None that would particularly care, as for family there’s none” Nyssa awkwardly confessed as she rubbed the back of her neck.

“Oh” Tenshi and Vinny said in unison, it was as if they were hit by a truck.

“Well! You can stay with us, right Tenshi?” Vinny asked, he was more than welcome with Nyssa staying with him.

“I mean…sure?” Tenshi answered awkwardly.

“You don’t have to do that…” Nyssa said as she smiled softly.

“Oh please! Yes I do, so you’re staying with me when we do get out” the cameraman reassured her.

“Thanks…” Nyssa sighed out, this was nice.

The three sat there for a while before they were dropped in a cell. “Great” Vinny sighed out as he fell on the ground, he was never gone get used to that.

“Well whatever you have planned better not get us killed” Tenshi said as he got up and stared out of the cell, two different cells opened as 6 people were released.

“At least we’re not fighting first” Nyssa spoke as she tried lightening the mood.

“I guess…” the cameraman answered as he stared out the cell too, his hand reaching for his dagger in his pocket.

“Don’t fight, whatever you have to do, do it while we distract them” Nysaa spoke as she pulled Vinnys’ hand away from his pocket.

“She’s right, if you’re right with your plan it’s best you do it while we make sure you survive” Tenshi added.

“Alright…” the cameraman sighed out, protesting against them was useless and well it’s not like he wanted to piss Tenshi off more.

Slowly but surely, their gate opened. Vinny was nervous. And so was Nyssa. Tenshis’ expression was unreadable as they walked out, his hand holding onto the axe.

They were going against Tex and 2 other people, Vinny couldn’t remember anyone else and didn’t want to.

Quickly they started fighting, Vinny dodged attacks the best he could, but it was tough. One person had an arrow and was constantly shooting while the other two were close combat.

But Tenshi held them off well and it was impressive. Fighting alongside him was when Vinny could really appreciate his strength.

Nyssa was good too, defending herself with ease. Though the cameraman turned his attention, trying to find the mirror shard on the ground.

“What’s up?” Nyssa questioned as she came closer to Vinny, she was curious if he was trying to do whatever he was planning.

“Trying to find something…” the cameraman answered as Nyssa continued defending herself.

“Take as long as you need!” Tenshi hissed as he tightened his grip on the axe before swinging it, a sickening shriek as a hand fell to the ground.

Vinny ignored it the best he could as he continued scanning the area, thought he sound of grunting and weapons clashing against each other was quite distracting. His eyes caught on a shine, across the whole arena, perfect…right past the enemies.

“Nyssa!” The cameraman called out, she snapped her head towards him. “I need you to cover me!”

“Where to?” She questioned, Vinny pointed the way and she just nodded.

“Tenshi! Help me cover him!” She called out, a nod from him as well as he came closer.

“Be quick” Tenshi said to Vinny.

“I’ll try!” Vinny awkwardly chuckled as he ran out, arrows flew by, but they were knocked away by Nyssa while people were kept away from Vinny.

The cameraman ran, faster than ever. He ignored everything around him and just fixated on the stupid piece of mirror that could be his way out of here.

As an arrow almost hit him, he lunged forward towards the ground, dodging it and grabbing the shard off the ground. He took a deep breath. He wasn’t dead, yay.

Staring at the shard, he got back up and stared at Nyssa and Tenshi who were looking at him with curiosity. Vinny ran to them again, trying his best and managed to dodge attacks again.

“Vinny what-?” Nyssa was cut off by her arm and Tenshis’ arm being grabbed by Vinny as he ran dragging them along.

“Just run around, I need to fix this!” The cameraman answered as he stared at the mirror shard, reluctantly the two listened following him and still managed to fight back.

Best thing would be if they were taken to the monastery, Ivory Kingdom or his apartment. Any would be good. He didn’t mind going anywhere. He just wanted out of here.

“Hold onto me!” Vinny said, the two listened and grabbed Vinnys’ arm as he threw the mirror shard in the air, he was just copying what Enji always did.

The mirror shard came back down, instead of hitting them in the head, they were instead engulfed by it and dropped into a house. The three laid on their backs as they just blinked, the mirror shard on their ground.

Slowly, but surely Vinny sat up and looked around. He was at his apartment. “Yes! Fuck yes!” The cameraman shouted as he got off the ground and slumped down on the couch.

Nyssa and Tenshi laid on the ground for a while before Nyssa got up first. “Where…are we?” She asked, cautiously as she looked around.

“My apartment! And I told you it would work!” The cameraman answered happily, he had never been so relieved before.

“So we’re…free?” She questioned, Vinny nodded and pulled her down to sit on the couch. “Wow…” she whispered as she looked at the roof.

“You ok?” Vinny asked her.

“Y-yea…I don’t know to process this!” She chuckled.

“What about you?” The cameraman asked Tenshi, who was still laid on his back on the ground, staring at the ceiling.

“I don’t know…” Tenshi whispered.

“C’mon! Get up, this couch is soft!” Nyssa laughed out as she pulled Tenshi up and onto the couch.

“I’m not as dumb as I look” Vinny chuckled to the two.

“Clearly!” Nyssa laughed as she ruffled his hair, thought Wh two were distracted by Tenshi standing up and going out to the balcony. It was midday, the sun was gonna set soon.

Nyssa and Vinny exchanged looks, they hadn’t been stuck in that hellhole for as long as Tenshi…they couldn’t possibly imagine what he was feeling…

The two stood up and stood on both sides of Tenshi, wind hitting against their faces. It was the best feeling.

“I told you I would get us out, I meant it…you’ve been trapped there long enough…” Vinny said softly as he tried comforting Tenshi. “You were right to doubt me though, it was a stupid plan…”

“A stupid plan indeed! But it worked and we’re free!” Nyssa sighed out.

“Pinch me…” Tenshi spoke up, the two looked confused, before Nyssa pinched him.

“It’s not a dream…we’re free” Nysaa said softly.

“Yea, and none of us will ever get stuck b-“ Vinny was cut off by two arms wrapping around him and hugging him.

“Thank you…” Tenshi whispered as he hugged the cameraman tightly.

Vinny stood there for a moment before returning the hug, “No problem…” he whispered.

“I want a hug” Nyssa spoke, the two laughed and hugged her two.

“What now?” Nyssa asked as she smiled at them.

“Right now? We’re all gonna shower and then eat” the cameraman answered, Tenshi laughed out.

“I suppose we all are due for a good shower” he sighed out.

“I think I can find some spare clothes for you two, just for the timing being in case you want to wear your old ones, I’ll wash them” Vinny said, receiving a nod from Nysaa.

“I don’t have much clothes either way, these are long over due to be thrown out” Tenshi sighed out.

“You wanna cut your hair?” Vinny asked him.

“A brush is fine, I’m better off detangling it” Tenshi answered.

“How so?” Nyssa laughed, as they followed Vinny who went back inside the apartment.

Wu smiled before leaving and closing the door.
