--The second entry for the Aquatic April challenge--

The Ever Youth Dragonfly Is unique among Its kind, when other Dragonfly species only spend their juvenile stage fully aquatic,

The Ever Youth Dragonfly never developes lungs and thus remains In water for Its entire life.

It posses sturdy hairs on Its legs making them work like flippers.

These hairs are also found on their back acting like a dorsal fin

and to top It of they posses an extention of their abdomen that works like a fluke.

Big Forest, Smaller Grazers - Bilbeelopes and Scoppels

10 Million Years P.E. [The Middle Origocene]

In an temperate forest of Macroterra we find an quite peacefull scenary, as 2 herbivorous Bilbies enjoy an meal In peace without any of their natural predators around.

The larger Bilby feeding on an bush Is an Bilbeelope (Family: Bovidaemacrotidae) specifically an Forest Bilbeelope (Silvamacrotis Evasivus). The Bilbeelopes are just like the Nomwats descendants of the Shorts-Tail, Unlike their stockier-build cousins, they prefer to eat from shrubs and small trees. Their interest In those food sources helps them to avoid competetion with the Nomwats.

The other small critters In the picture might look like the earthern bunnies, but like all the vertebrates they are descendants of Bilbies and thus marsupials, no bunnies. The Scoppels (Family: Pseudocuniculusidae) are the smallest Shorts-Tail descendants, their smaller size Is although a great way of avoiding competetion from larger more specialised herbivores. The Chocolate Scoppels (Chocolatumcuniculus Cautus) tho are quite specialised themselfs, as their favorite treats are vegetables and roots they find with their keen sense of smell and great digging abilities.

Scoppels are very social animals and live In large family colonies and are rarely seen alone. When feeding they are always observing their surroundings, on the lookout for predators.

I Just Remembered My Yo-Kai Watch Fangame Concept

I dunno why but I randomly remembered that I wanted to make a Yo-Kai Watch fangame back In the day and have even started to write the story and create new Yo-Kai, but then the Penguin Mod server crashed (The engine I wanted to use) and I pretty much lost It all and since I know remember It all I wanted to recreate the Yo-Kai and perhaps try to make the game.

I only had an actuall story for the very start but I had an idea what I wanted the game to be about.

It was called Yo-Kai Watch New World Blasters, as u can probaply guess It was an Blasters fangame, although the gameplay Is alot different, It was supposed to be an roguelike turn-based rpg and you could get new moves by equiping items, kinda like In Paper Mario, you also have full controll over all the Yo-Kai and you could selects an attack or technique, the more powerfull ones would altough take SP (Soul Points), you get soul points with items, using 0 SP moves (Kinda like In the normal Yo-Kai Watch games) or by loafing, when a Yo-Kai loafes they get a little extra HP and get cured of negative status effects, kinda like that quite zone thingy In Miitopia.

Now a bit about the story, as already said there Isnt that much to unpack here yet. Anyways It starts with our classic Blaster troup, Jibanyan, Hidabat, Noway Sandmeh and Whisper, who are fighting an very powerfull enemy, who ends up sending them Into an far away new world. We start out In the new world with just Jibanyan and Whisper for now, when they regain consiciousness, they dont remember how they got there, they just remember that they were out on mission and then everything went dark. Jibanyan then points out that Whisper Is wearing a weird hat, which then turns out to be a Wazzat, that explains why they couldnt remember anything. The hat Yo-Kai then intruduced himself and apoligized for eating their memories, he was strolling around the plains and got a bit hungry.

Jibanyan and Whisper have pretty quickly noticed that something was odd about te Wazzat he had a different color and his were In crosses and not swirls, which gives me the perfect opening to explain the "New World" Yo-Kai to u.

The New World Yo-Kai are pretty much reboots of Yo-Kai that already exist In the official games, New World Wazzat for example, doesnt just look different, but Is also a C rank other then the regular E rank Wazzat, the tribe Is different as well, New World Wazzat Is of the Shady tribe instead of the mysterious tribe, New World Yo-Kai can have many differences from their to us familiar counterparts.

Back to the story, Wazzat explains that there has been an mass outbreak of "Shapeshifters" In these regions and he Is looking to see If there are people who are In need of help.

After the introduction Is all done, they head to Wazzats home village, which resembles more a ghost town, Wazzat explains that he lives here with his brother Houzzat In this very bad neighboorhood, there are many dangerous Yo-Kai living here and It only got worse after the "Shapeshifters" appeared.

Later they arrived at a pretty large and nice looking house that stands out In this wrecked place, at the door the group got a quick scare as they were jumpscared by the Yo-Kai Sir Berus, who like the Wazzat didnt look quite right either, he introduced himself pretty aggressively as the guardien of this facility, Wazzat quickly deescalates the scene and explains that the two new faces are friends of him and they are allowed to pass. Inside there are a couple of other Yo-Kai that take shelter here. The trio eventually finds Houzzat who runs this place, Wazzat introduces the two to his brother who scolded him a bit for going so far into the dangerous planes, eventually Houzzat prepares a spare room for Jibanyan and Whisper. Wazzat then proceeds to show them around and meet the other Yo-Kai who currently reside there, there Is a small shop In the lobby run by the Yo-Kai Spenp, while an U.F.O - like Yo-Kai named O.F.U-Too working on an motor of sorts, This worlds version of Mircle and Miradox having an argument over dinner, This worlds Treeter sitting on an small laptop and this worlds Shadow Venoct hiding In the closet of his room. Eventually Houzzat tells Jibanyan and Whisper that their room Is all set up and that they can stay as long as they need, eventually Whisper cant help himself anymore and asks what these "Shapeshifters" are and how they are connected to this village.

Houzzat got a bit cought up by surprise that they have somehow missed It out explained It anyways, these weird Yo-Kai called shapeshifters started to appear on day and started to run rampage, attacking other Yo-Kai and trying to shapeshift Into them later, they are not that good at shapeshifting tho and you will never mistake an Yo-Kai with Its shapeshifter counterpart. Still they are a big problem and there seems to be no end to them. The village used to be alot bigger and frankly quite rich, they have a mine close to the village littered with gold, but Shapeshifters and other evil Yo-Kai eventually raided It and the people resorted to crimes to stay afloat or moved far away, the probleme many people have tho Is that they simply dont have the resources to travel Into an save new village.

During the conversation O.F.U.-Too pops In and says that he Is a pilot and could theoratically get everyone out of here but his plane Is In shambles now, he has found a guy who could repair It for him but the price Is higher then he can afford.

Jibanyan and Whisper then exclaimed that they could head Into the mine and get the gold and also explain that they are part of an high ranking Blasters unit, which amazes both of the ´Zzats, looks like there are blasters even In this new world.

Houzzat although points out that a Blasters unit needs atleast 4 members, Wazzat immidiatly exclaims that he Is willing to join and hands the two his medal, Houzzat immidiatly after exclaims that he wont let Wazzat go unauthorized to such an dangerous place and temporarilly joins the team as well.

As they go deeper Into the mine they see an small pile of gold just laying on the floor, but before the group can pick It up an small Draggie jumps In front of their feet and declares that It Is the dragon protecting the fortune, the Blasters although end up defeating the Draggie, the small dragon gives them the gold as they deserved It, but also tells them that this Is all the gold he found on this level of the mine and Its too dangerous to go deeper.

Houzzat then exclaims that Draggie can keep his gold, It Is such a small ammount that It wouldnt be of much help anyways and asks him why he is here In the first place, considering how dangerous It Is In here, to which Draggie exclaims that he doesnt have anywhere else to go, to which Houzzat offers him to stay with them, they always have an free space.

Draggie gladly takes that offer and hands over his medal.

Just then a buzzing sound emits, Houzzat then pulls out an Yo-Kai pad and talks to Sir Berus on the other end who says that an Yo-Kai Is trying to get In claiming to know Jibanyan and Whisper.

The group then quickly gets back to the house, where Jibanyan and Whisper do indead see a familiar face which belongs to none other then Hidabat.

After everything got settled Jibanyan and Whisper give Hidabat an quick update and so does Hidabat as he still has his memories.

The blasters group got send Into this new world by an evil Yo-Kai who names themself "THE Shapeshifter", undoubtely theres an connection with that "THE Shapeshifter" guy and the Shapeshifter invasion In this world.

Hidabat Is eventually aware of the entire no budget problem and tells the crew not to worry about It, he asks who this repair guy Is and O.F.U.-Too leads him there.

Once arrived at the acceptable looking store they find the keep called Treasure Pest, who immidiatly asked O.F.U-Too If he has the money by now, to which Hidabat pulls out an briefcase full of gold bars before asking If this would be enough. (It was)

The next day the blasters are introduced to O.F.U.-Too´s brand new plane, It was huge and ready to get the crew wherever they want too, The people who lived In houzzats shelter have decided to travel along the blasters to make up for everything.

1 Million Years P.E. [The Early Origocene]

*Speciation - New Species Of The Early Origocene*

The Poochy Seed eater (Griseusmacrotis Semenvorus), while fitting In the niche of an seed eater, they are more generalists feeding everything they can find, quite similar to their ancestor the Greater Bilby.

The Bepple (Saxulummacrotis Insectumvorus) Is an excellent insect catcher, ambushing them on the surface, but also digging for them underground. They themselfs also spend most of their time underground, hiding from larger carnivores.

... Larger carnivores like the Tearling (Carnismacrotis Carnivorus). Equipped with grappling claws and an dangerous dentation, Tearlings are formidable predators to the smaller Bilbies around.

The Shorts-Tail (Herbamacrotis Herbivorus) Is the exact opposite of the Tearling. Being an herbivore feeding on the abundant grasses of Macroterra. As they received too much competition from other seed eaters, they eventually have started just eating the plants themselves.

Yo-Kai sona ´cause Why-Naant

So... I saw a couple of people In the community make Yo-Kai sonas and I wanted to make one as well! :D

So I brainstormed for what my Yo-Kais inpirit would do and how to approach the design and I noticed that there was a Yo-Kai that was already very similiar to what I wanted my Yo-Kai to be like, Terrorpotta. I usually represent myself as an little crown and Terrorpotta already looked like a crown and had an inspirit I found relatable. I eventually started to redesign Terrorpotta to resemble my lil crown sona more and this eventually resulted In the Yo-Kais final design. I originally wanted the sona just to be an odd looking terrorpotta, I thought It was an bit more lore accurate that If my character dies, It becomes an already existing Yo-Kai, like we have seen It happen In the anime with Daiz and Unsheltered for example, but at the end I still wanted an more unique Yo-Kai to show off, so I came up with an new evolution for Terrorpotta!

Whoopsala Is an A-Rank Restoration Attribute from the tough tribe.

It evolves from Terrorpotta after being fused with Enerfly.

People inpirited by Whoopsala tend to easily drop and break objects, often stressing the victim In the progress.

Medallium Entry: Unlike Terrorpotta, Whoopsala has an much less fragile golden shell, causing her anxiety and heartrate to return to an healthier level, she although still posses the habit to break other fragile items easily, how stressfull.

Attack: One-Two Punch -No Description-

Technique: Restore -No Description-

Soultimate: Whoops! Dang It! -Drops fragile Items on the enemies, the splitters will get stuck and drain their health.

Inspirit: That Cant Be It -Enemy Is so stressed It might turn on their allies-

Skill: Jar Guard -Boosts defense while guarding-

Stats (E-S): Strength - B, Spirit - C, Defence - S, Speed - D, HP - A

This should be all the stat related stuff. TwT

I wanted to make It an more tanky Yo-Kai low risk Yo-Kai, quite different from Its counterpart Blownhistoppa.

The name Is a pun from the german word "upsala" which Is just another word for whoopsie.

Now I want to talk about why I choose Enerfly as an fusion "Item".

Enerflies inspirit Is slightly different In the various Yo-Kai Watch media, but the anime says that Enerfly can overall bring things to peak condition, so I thought It could cause Terrorpottas fragile shell to get to peak condition and become sturdier.

Im still pretty new to designing Fan-Kai, but hope U enjoy It anyways. ´:3

Blubb Blubb - The Shrish

20 Million Years P.E. (The Late Origocene)

While Macroterra Is a planet of Bilbies, the invertabrates, which have been seeded to sustain the ecosystem, have changed over the years as well and the most succesfull and dominant ones would be the Shrish. Descendants of Planktonic Krill, they have come to dominate the oceanic ecosystem.

The Shrish started out as shrimp like swimmers that propelled themselfs through the water with feathery legs, Shrish like these still exist, the OJ Reefer (Pseudocaris Citrinasuccus) Is an good example. But some didnt bother to actively swim and become bottom feeders, like the Gravel Trilokrill (Trilobitacaris Fundusmaris).

Although some Shrish have optimized their swimming abilities,

some Shrish would eventually develop a shorter and more streamlined body, and give rise to active swimmers that propelled themselves with undulating waves of their abdomen and tail. Becoming a more efficient means of propulsion, these shrish would eventually modify their rearmost swimming legs along with their tail fan into a caudal fluke of sorts.

But these fluked Shrish didnt just stop there, as another adaption proved efficiency, pseudo-jaws.

These pseudo-jaws are formed from their elongated barbed rostrums and first front legs.

With these they can easily catch slippery prey an apply pressure to crack their hard shell.

two of these jawed Shrish are the Great White Shraw (Pisciscaris Magnusalbus) and the Cherry Shrimpede (Centipedecaris Cerasus).

Both are fearsome predators In their own right, the Shrimpedes are small slender Eel-like ambush predators, while the Great White Shraw are rather large at 1 meter In size they are true giants among the arthropods.

But not all of those jawed Shrish are predators, the Green Weedpicker (Herbariumcolligens Viridis) Is an rather peacefull grazer, using their jaws to pluck and crush tough algea, seaweed and corals.

I have this Yo-Kai Watch headcanon that scientists are fully aware that Yo-Kai exist.

I mean they are scientists, I feel like they should be aware.

And anytime we have seen an scientist character In the games they could see Yo-Kai.

Coincidence? I think not!

10 Million years Into Macroterras histories an predator-prey armsrace has evolved, with an food chain having evolved, the prey animals need to evolve as well.

There Is one lineage that posses an effective defence mechanism often seen on earth, sharp quills.

Those quilled Bilbies go under the name Hedgey´s (Family Erinaceusmacrotidae).

One of the main species would be the Needle-Mane (Acusleo Sus).

While Hedgey´s are usually insectivores the Needle-Mane remained an oppurtunistic omnivore.

It´s quills are also not as impressive as In other species.

Like all Hedgey´s they posses an with quills packed tuff at the end of their tail,but along with that they posses an quill covered mane and some smaller frailer quills along their back and ears.

Their quills overall seem to be more adapted to support heat loss and protection from the sun.

This comes In clutch as they call Macroterras hot desert their home.

Needle-Manes are still very similiar to the original Bilby, which Is reflected In their nature, tough they have taken their omnivorous diet to the next level, eating whatever you can think of, grass, seeds, insects, smaller Bilbies, everything Is on the menu.

Their long tails can also store very small amounts of water, an pretty new adaption, but one that comes In clutch.

The Stubby-Tail Bugbun (Insectivoruscuniculus Aculeatus) Is an more typical member of the Hedgey family, being an insectivore and possesing though quills at their back and tuff.

The Bechidna (Tachyglossusmacrotis Acutus) Is the tropical Hedgey, using Its claws to destroy termite hills and break away rotten wood and long tongue to slurp up the insects.

Its quills cover Its entire back, even the ears and the tail are packed with quills.

Despite a long stagnation during the Glaciocene, the line of the stellasnoots would find new opportunities in the caverns beneath the ground: and evolve into nigh-alien forms unrecognizable from their forebearers.
