wait so how old WAS humphrey when he met henry viii? because he seems late 30s at time of death and if everything with mary queen of scots was going down at that time elizabeth had already been on the throne for 10+ years. before that you had edward for 6 years and mary for 5 years. mqs was a prisoner of elizabeth for 19 years and potentially plotting against her all that time, so sophie’s plot could have occurred at any time between 1567 and 1586, so humphrey must have been pretty young when that meeting happened.

i am now imagining smol teenage/kid humphrey meeting the king for the first time. oh. oh my god.

Yeah no I agree with the collective sentiment that they totally are the type of couple that would "adopt" someone. It's funny to think about.

In the finale of season 2, when the students told Topher to shut up because he was about to say something mysoginistic, Ivan was there doing it as well.

At first I didn't think much of it, then my friend basically came up with the idea that maybe it was because Ivan became closer with Catherine, which changed his opinion on women. Obviously this is not a theory, just a headcannon.

Like come on, Catherine the great and Ivan the terrible, Greasy guy and cheerful girl. They'd make an incredible pair.

I'd like to draw fanart of them at some point but I can't carry this ship on my back all by myself.
