i’m sure someone could explain it better than me but mob psycho and undertale are so similar in so many ways. not just as a funny sans vs reigen joke but they have so much in common. they’re both deconstructions of their genres. they focus on peace and not hurting others. they both redeem most if not all of their villains. several adults have their lives changed by a single child’s kindness. autism. but they don’t just follow similar story beats they really feel like similar stories to me. just the way that they’re told, how they use humor to make the emotional parts hit harder, idk i just really like them both a lot

Anyways a minor bit of info on him, I like to imagine he was moved from a gritty crime filled town (with more Gotham type villains and the like) to Fair City by his agency, it's just really funny imagining a more serious character being moved to a goofy environment. I also love the Idea of The Narrator being "local" and specific to the area (or the hero) Honestly can you imagine moving to a new city and the first person to greet you is a disembodied voice in the sky? Okay I know everyone loves Reigen adopting Mob but COME ON. THE KAGEYAMA'S ADOPTING REIGEN IS SO MUCH BETTER AND SO, I have decided that in the year 2023 I shall be providing the Reigen/Kageyama family dynamic we deserve.
