I was the one who asked Lana the SwanQueen question at the Enchanted Con. I want to take this time to apologise for the confusion Iāve caused. This was my first Con and I was very over-excited and nervous all at once. I was the last scheduled question before the Q&A closed and I wanted to take the opportunity to ask Lana a, unique, question but I didnāt anticipate how crazy the fallout was going to be. Here is the transcript of my question:
āIn season 7, as a result of the season 7 curse, it was revealed that the story travelled back in time and the events of Hyperions Heights ran parallel with an older time of Storybrooke. Wherein there exists another Regina and another Emma in addition to the original Storybrooke timeline. With the laws of time, including the ripple effect, do you care to give your opinion on whether you believe that in this alternate Storybrooke - SwanQueen exists?ā
Watching Season 7, I perceived the time-jump as a creation of a second, alternate, Storybrooke that ran parallel with the original timeline as well as the Wish Realm and Hyperion Heights. So, I saw at least 4 active universes, in Once, running at the same time. I was curious to know if, like me, Lana believed that SQ existed, or could exist, in this older, alternate, version of Storybrooke.
Despite the confusion, my question received a positive reaction from the audience. Shout out to my fellow SQ shippers! Lana answered by saying that she believed that Regina was single, living with Henry in the mansion. She even joked about Granny possibly living there to which Bex bantered back about a ship with Granny! š Lana continued saying that, from her perspective, she couldnāt answer honestly and that my question was more suited for Adam & Eddy. Bex, bless her, added that SwanQueen COULD exist in a parallel universe! THANK YOU BEX! š
Later, when receiving my autograph from Lana, I apologised to her personally for the confusion. She very graciously said that she wasnāt at all confused and elaborated by telling me that the events of the time-jump Storybrooke take place after Season 6 and that Hook and Emma were already married. I told her, āWe can dream.ā to which she agreed, āWe can.ā ā¤ļø I told her she was an angel and that I loved her very much. I blew her a kiss and she responded with her trademark MWAH! š THANK YOU LANA! šš
So, to everyone responding controversially to this whole situation, please remember that Lana has always openly supported all the ships and the LGBTQ community! As do I! Please be kind to everyone in the fandom and remember to love and love each other.
Once again, I apologise for any trouble Iāve caused in the fandom, to my fellow Swan Queen shippers, or to Lana!
THANK YOU ALL AND SEE YOU AT ENCHANTED 2!

Black SailsĀ + things and places that feel like charactersĀ
I completely agree. It may seem sudden and it surely is unexpected, at least it was for me, but once you know it you finally can put all the pieces into place and that's just wonderful. I love this show for this thing they do of leaving nails all around and then giving wire to connect them all.
And yeah, that episode is not only a great work speaking about directory and scenes and all, but is also what definitely caught me in the Black Sails' web. Sure, the show has a lot of interesting point and themes that keep you into it, but making the main character bisexual in a pirate show and making of his lost love the cause of his whole fight and rage? Well, let's just say that their braveness was definitely rewarded. Absolute geniouses.
one time I looked up the ratings of each episode of black sails. I expected to see s2e5 near the top, but I wasnāt exactly surprised when it was actually at the bottom (free us from the clutches of homophobia man). I read some of the comments and they were saying that the reveal felt out of nowhere. Okay, so actually you just have no media literacy skills. For me, the revelation made so much sense that I experienced something akin to ascension. I felt I had unlocked all of the knowledge there was to unlock. My whole engagement with the show changed. That thing that had been bubbling under the whole time, in every interaction between Miranda and flint, in every mention of Thomas, in every display of rage from flint, in each one of his desperate schemes.
I just find it so hilarious that people thought it was out of nowhere? Louise Barnes and Toby Stephens were actually the only two cast members aware of the backstory from the beginning of the show, and you can see it so much in the way they act their characters. So much unspoken, but that doesnāt mean itās not there. Season 1 ep 7 ā that whole altercation they have where he refuses to apologise to England, the way she says āif he were here heād agree with meā, the tension of it all. The note Thomas wrote in the front of their copy of meditations? Itās so obviously not out of the blue, itās set up so brilliantly so as to evade perception but also to lodge itself in your brain before you even know what *it* is.
Tom Hopper (Billy) said it was the best episode of television heās ever seen. Literally years later, in a promotional interview for the umbrella academy. I agree wholeheartedly.
saying that it was out of nowhere is just wrong. Itās either a) just a guise for your homophobia or b) a betrayal of your evidently terrible media literacy and critical analysis skills.
When I saw the episode so many things from season 1 finally clicked in to place inside my head. The enigma of Flint, for the first time, began to slightly unravel.
