I love the moment in the movie where Sheeta realizes the robot is protecting her so of course I had to have Chuuya’s realization in this AU

Honestly at first I was just thinking of cute octopi and somehow made a connection to Dazai bc both are cute then I realized that octopi are super smart and escape artists and I got really really excited 😅

And it was originally going to be all of them as tiny adorable sea creatures but then I realized that I would feel the urge to make Dazai a fish, more specifically a mackerel, so I went with merfolk so Chuuya could hold a tiny adorable octopus Dazai

Of course I can’t make a single AU without finding some way to sneak angst in… 😂

Now I’m imagining what if Mer-Dazai was captured at some point? How guilty would Chuuya feel for not protecting him?

(Good news is he was always an escape artist, but Chuuya hasn’t thought of that yet)
