it's been almost three full years since i finished the mob psycho manga and everything about its conclusion is still so perfect to me but god after all this time i still really cannot put into words how much the conclusion of teru's arc means to me. like finding a piece of media with a character who holds some sort of unhealthy idolization towards another character that is not treated solely as a joke or a shorthand way to show that the character is annoying and unlikable is difficult enough, but for the resolution of that to be said character realizing the person theyre putting on a pedestal is just another imperfect person and they still love them and through that, they themselves are still capable of being loved despite their own imperfections?
it kills the man.

caught in the blinding light of public perception
[image id: digital illustration of arataka reigen from mob psycho 100. he is caught in an unstable pose with his arms raised for balance and is looking over his shoulder at the viewer with an uneasy expression. his tie is flailing in front of him as if he were falling. a bright yellow light illuminates him from above and the edges of his body and casts the rest of him in black shadow. red is an accent color around his head and the background. end image id.]
"And have you noticed the color scheme in my notes-"
