Redraw of one of those kiss memes that were on deviant art back in the day. I drew THE ORIGINAL back in 2017. Yeah, this pairing has been around for 8+ years, OUGH. I’m happy to give it attention again and flesh them out, now that my art and writing have improved (writing still needs work but hey, baby steps).

I really wanted to update this and wow, the difference in style, THE IMPROVEMENT?? ;;;;;;;;

Okay but imagine..

Shōta is sitting on the edge of his hospital bed, a vacant look on his face. He has just lost an eye and a leg in the last battle, and probably the ability to use his quirk any longer.

He hears a commotion outside of his room before you storm in and stand a few feet away from him:

_ "Shōta, you're finally awake. I thought I lost you. You were unconscious for days."

You sob, still not believing that your man is finally back.

He says nothing, the vacant look still present on his face. You walk up to him and hug him lightly, careful not to disturb his fresh wounds. But he doesn't hug you back like he always does..

You pull away and look at his face, he says nothing..

You understand that what happened to him can be too much to bare, so you don't question him and simply smile reassuringly.

You lean in for a kiss, but before you could reach his lips, he speaks: "Leave."

You stop dead in your tracks, eyes wide and a lump growing in your throat: "Shōta.."

He finally looks at you before continuing in the same monotone voice:

_ "It's over for us."

...What?

_ "I'm breaking up with you if that's not already clear."

...No it can't be. Is this a joke?

_ "To tell you the truth, I've never really loved you to begin with."

...That's not true, he's lying right?

_ "It took me a near death experience to finally realize that I don't want to waste what's left of my life with someone I have no feelings for."

You're trying to speak, to say anything, but your mouth is dry and your thoughts are foggy. You search his expressions for any signs of wavering but you find none.

He presses the nurse call button and asks the lady to escort you out.

You say nothing, you're unable to anyway. The only thing you can do is cry as the woman drags you outside.

Little did you know, his words tortured him more than they did you. He loves you too much that it made more sense to let you go than to burden your heart. Because in his own disturbed mind, he's not even half the man he used to be...

He breaks down right after you leave his room.

I may or may not have broken my own heart a little bit with this one.

especially i think after he gets comfortable with someone truly and deeply, and he lies about something and because the SoleSurvivor is like his closest companion (the love of his life perhaps) they know he’s lying. and they stare at him, and he stares back blankly, then his mouth starts to twitch, forcing back a smile. his eyes will flick away from theirs and he’ll quickly turn around and walk away as he tries to pull it together and Sole is left laughing at how ridiculous he is.

i also imagine that’s why he’s so paranoid about giving you his “reset code” bc he set up a great lie (not really lol) and now he’s scared that Sole is gonna think he’s a complete ass for lying about that when it’s meant to be a test and a joke. I personally haven’t read it in my play though so he’s always coming up to me asking frantically if i’ve read it and my Sole just looks at him with the most amused look bc he KNOWS deacon is full of shit, so he doesn’t even bother to read the code.

He’s also a bad liar because he just goes too hard on the details and everyone can tell when he’s starting to make things up. it’s less lying and more, embellishments, at least that’s how he likes to look at it. When he talks about Sole though, oh my god the other members of the railroad can’t tell if he’s being funny or if he’s truly in love with this person. the way he tells tales of their heroism, saving his life and wiping out thousands of synths and raiders, just sweeping him out of harms way.

this is of course only when Sole is not around. and if anyone slips out word about deacon’s damsel in distress stories, he’d deny it until his last breath. red in the face and unable to meet their eyes when they ask with a teasing tone, a flat “No.” drops out of him before he scatters to find who the hell told Sole about that.

so yeah, deacon truly is more himself than he ever means to be and i love that loser so much <3

now. now. you might think that because of the stuff miu says that she's a hard dom. but you'd be mistaken. i mean, do you see how she reacts when people degrade her?? who reacts by blushing and sweating when kokichi calls them a cum dumpster?

yeah she is a degradee.

she likes when you're mean, but oh my god she loves it when you mix praise with it. "my dumb little angel", "my filthy girl", "you're just my pretty little bimbo, huh?" ahhhhhsjsjs.

can take a fair bit of pain. goes absolutely feral if you leave hickeys on her neck and bruises on her thighs. she adores looking absolutely wrecked afterwards - makeup running down her face, sweating, red-face, tear tracks cracking on her cheeks, bruises blooming under the skin of her throat.

for like... fifteen seconds after, she gets uncharacteristically shy. this is the one and only time she will thank you, before snapping out of her daze and returning to the miu we all hate love.

this man is infuriating. and he knows it, too.

testing your patience is a full-time job and baby, he's committed.

real talk. i know what you're probably thinking - that kokichi is also a hard dom. in my humble opinion, no, wrong, incorrect. kokichi is a brat.

and maybe the worst case you've ever seen, too. this boy fights you on absolutely everything. he challenges everything you say. he argues semantics with you. nothing is off-limits.

you must have the patience of a saint. it might actually genuinely infuriate him at times, the fact that he can't get you to crack. sometimes he just wants you to snap and go fucking feral on him.

but most of the time... he likes you as you.

it's nice. he's really unsure about it at first, actually, but this feeling of being taken care of is something he begins to get used to. a lot of the time during the act, you'll catch him with this soft, dazed look on his face, like he's in the middle of a dream.

rarely though. and then he annoys you so bad you forget it in like a minute rip.

king of "oh? make me," and similar taunts. "whatcha gonna do about it?" "get over here and make me why don't you?" boy if you don't—

it's genuinely fascinating watching his composure break down in front of you. it starts out so small, a stray gasp or his fingers tightening in the sheets, but if you keep at it slowly and patiently pretty soon he's whimpering and hissing through his teeth, telling you through clenched teeth to get on with it already.

tries to order you around, but we're moving at your pace. he'll call you plenty of names to try and light a fire under you. one day you'll have to give in <3

the ultimate goal of any session is to get him pleading. it can be done, if you're patient. it's for sure a sight - hands twisting the sheets until his knuckles are white, cheeks filmed with red, tears beading at his lashline and hair stuck to his forehead. "please," he'll gasp all pretty. "fuck- you- nngh, please, get on with it already!"
