I had the sudden inspiration to draw a Sheikah-inspired dragon, then I colored it in based on Impa’s color palette. I guess dragon! Impa it is then.
I made the Sheikah pretty standard oriental dragons, and I think koi like designs would fit the race pretty well. Dragon Impa here is partially inspired by an Asagi koi.
I will perhaps expand this Dragon AU. I have some solid ideas for what Hylians and Gerudo would look like already.
treating every korok I find extra gently to make up for all the war crimes 💔
I had this idea rotating in my head for a couple days so
100 is kind of a lot for "quantity of Koroks who tried to go camping but coincidentally all got too tired to move", so here's my personal headcanon:
There is one (1) Korok who actually tried to join his friends in camping and see post-Upheaval Hyrule, but got too tired to move and needed to be rescued by Mr. Hero.
And as soon as you rescued him, he told everyone in Korok Forest about how the cool, brave, awesome Mr. Hero personally hand-carried him to his friend.
So now every time a set of camping Koroks spots Mr. Hero in the distance, they get really excited and rock-paper-scissors over who gets to race ahead and flop in front of the hero like a puppy who doesn't want to leave the dog park, claiming they can't move and need to be carried.
Sooo I heard there was some demand for more shartwolf
Long term bestie since 6th grade told me I reminded her of Laios Touden and I was obviously unnerved but tried to play it cool and said “haha I did learn I have autism this year” and she said “how the hell did you JUST realize it” it's so joever

In mine and many other east Asian cultures, the dragon traditionally symbolises things like power, wealth and strength (imperial symbol and all)
I think we often forget that in the story of the Great Race, the dragon came in fifth because it'd stopped to give people rain. Then it'd stopped again to push a rabbit adrift on a log across the wide river so it reached the shore safely (that's why the Rabbit year comes before the Dragon).
Dragons aren't meant to just be powerful - they are meant to do good with such power, and to help those in need.
So in this lunar new year, I hope you gain more power, so that you might be able to help others. I pray you have abundant resources so you may give to yourself and those around you. I wish you courage, endurance, kindness and generosity, for yourself and your people.
I hope you, and I, will be rain givers, life preservers, joy bringers.
I hope we will be dragons.
Still thinking about the winged twins
