TMNTember DAY 28:

“Karai and her Turtle Brothers”

OKAY, this is the last one, I swear.

This is sort of in combination with Day 30 as far as the future element? IDK, at the very least it’s set in Season 5, or at least post-finale Season 4.

I wanted to illustrate something a little nicer in honor of the 2012 anniversary, so… voila, a fully-colored entry!!

Here’s what I can perfectly hear them all saying in my head:

Casey’s staying quiet for the sake of the pizza thievery, and Karai’s snake-y sense is tingling about whatever’s goin’ on between Don and April over there…

My favorite things about this drawing:

- Raph and Leo’s banter

- Casey and Mikey’s pizza bromance

- Karai with folded pizza and wearing her father’s color

- How April’s looking at Donnie (oh god Ned’s gonna include this in Fixing Apriltello isn’t she YES OF COURSE I AM—)

My character has time, he even has a story but I will always ship it with Leo,she admires him.

You know that moment in season 4 when Raph saves Mona Lisa from falling, he catches her and they end up like this:

BIG missed opportunity to do the romance trope of accidental falling into their arms, ending up on top of one another in a cute but awkward encounter.

Like if you slow down the scene before this shot, you can see that Raph is holding Mona close to him and making sure she is protected by having his shell hit the impacted of the fall. So yeah, missed opportunity to have the aftermath being Raph finding himself on top of Mona (or vice versa) from holding her close to him. Raph, after realizing how they ended up, starts awkwardly panicking, blushing like a dork, frantically asking her if she's okay and trying to remove himself from the position because it's so close and personal. Meanwhile Mona is not phased and it just happy they're both safe and unharmed, all while having more reasons to be in love with her turtle bf.
