How long have you played guitar? Could you give us some advice :) I would like to audition for Voice of Moritz for the tour but I've never played guitar
I’ve been playing for 13 years.
Honestly, if you want to audition for Voice of Moritz, you need to start playing guitar immediately. At the risk of being blunt, it would pretty difficult to get to the skill level required by the time auditions rolled around. (And before anyone asks, I have absolutely NO clue when that would be.)
It’s a broadway score, and you need to play perfectly. I played three different guitars (6 string acoustic, 12 string acoustic, electric 6 string), and almost every song in the show. So you’d also need to learn three dramatically different styles of playing.
That, on its own, is a huge amount of work. Combine that with acting, speaking, and singing Moritz at the same time, while coordinating with another actor, and it’s a pretty challenging task.
That said, nothing is impossible. If you want something, go after it. PRACTICE. Practice HARD. Get a guitar. Get a book that teaches you how to read music.
deaf west’s production of spring awakening has been closed on broadway for 12 years. many shows have come and gone through the brooks atkinson theatre. people say that if you listen closely you can still hear sean grandillo from his old dressing room

What she says: I'm fine.
What she means: Why does everyone forget that Martha was the one who called Moritz a sad soulful sleepyhead? Why does no one think about the fact that Martha understood and appreciated Moritz most while everyone else ignored him? Why don't we talk more about the fact that Martha Bessel would like a boy like Moritz? A boy who's nice and sad and sweet. All the other girls like Melchior because he's dangerous and rebellious and vibrant and angry. But Martha already has enough dangerous and angry men in her life, and she isn't looking to escape a sheltered life like all the other girls, she's looking to feel safe and protected and maybe find someone who she can sympathize with? Why does no one talk about Martha and Moritz taking care of each other, and reminding each other that they're worth so much more than their parents think, planning to build a new world just like Wendla and Melchior? Is any one else disturbed by the fact that Martha and Moritz don't get to rebel, because they won't make it that long?
ah yes the scent of shady abortions and promiscuous german teenagers
how about spring awakening just continues into the whole show?? like just do the whole thing
If you didn’t read the books you wouldn’t know…
Draco Malfoy personally made the Potter stinks buttons and nobody could fix them to say Harry was cool and shit, if they tried it would only make the insults worse
You wouldn’t know Draco Malfoy was always right behind Hermione in grades
You wouldn’t know Draco was seriously the most animated person at school and acted out everything.
You wouldn’t know Draco got deeply offended when people didn’t laugh at his jokes
You wouldn’t know Draco created the Weasley is our King song, tune and all. (Probably in the shower or something because he’s such a weenie)
You wouldn’t know Draco and Ron got into a fist fight in their first year
You wouldn’t know about the huge knock down drag out between Draco, Harry and the rest of the Slytherin and Gryffindor quidditch team in their fifth year. (Harry and Draco just fucking tackle each other and start whooping each others asses and it’s amazing.)
You would miss out on basically everything Draco says and does. He’s a walking gold mine and It’s upsetting the movies didn’t devote a few seconds for any of his shit (Azkaban did an okay job)
You wouldn’t know about the Weasley is our king buttons he made in fifth year either
You wouldn’t know Draco didn’t actually try and fight a Hippogriff he was just petting him and offhandedly said that he was ugly. He didn’t sprint over to him, he actually did all the bowing and what not.
If you didn’t read the books you wouldn’t know that Draco is the most annoyingly smart and artistic little shit you’ve ever heard of.
