Summary:

Yamaguchi Tadashi plants his hands on his knees and fixes his eyes firmly on the title sequence in front of him. Usually, he falls asleep during movie nights; his parents never let him stay up as late as he’s allowed to at the Tsukishimas’, so his body isn’t co-operative, no matter how much fun he’s having. Not tonight, though. This is Kei’s favourite movie. Tadashi isn’t going to miss a second of it.

Three times Tsukishima and Yamaguchi watch Kei’s comfort movie franchise, though middle school, high school, and college.

Just as a reminder to those hyped about side order, this is Nintendo’s official opinion of Agent 4 from the Splatoon website:

Look at her face. Does she look like a pushover? Someone who is just a little wacky? No. This is a teenager who fought an entire Empire. And *won*. People I know keep saying she’s not as impressive as Three or Eight and like?? Just because she did the same thing as Three makes it no less impressive you ding dongs. In fact, she did it with less help than Three had, AND kicked Octavio to the curb WHILE HE HAD CALLIE ON HIS SIDE. She’s practically a force of nature. And it’s not like the Splatoon devs to forget something like this.

No matter what your hopes for side order are, don’t expect Four to be some damsel in distress or anything similar. Remember what the contents of the Splatoon 2 campaign were. Remember that Four is not a member of the New Squidbeak Splatoon because “someone has to be Agent 4!!!” Because I can almost guarantee the devs haven’t forgotten. I say with complete confidence that their definition of Four being “pushover” is a red herring. She’s going to kick our ass on February 22nd.

Sometimes I get surprised when people hate on SWSH. Then I remember. Not everyone had their brain chemistry permanently altered by that game. Very few people actually got very introspective about the Pokémon universe as a whole after playing that game. Most people DIDN'T LIKE HOP????!!....

MOTHERFUCKER I AM GOING TO KILL YOU STOP BEING A COWARD AND GIVE ME MY HOP. HE IS CONSTANTLY ERASED AND PUT DOWN AND IT PMO. HOP IS NOT ANNOYING AND OVERCONFIDENT HE IS TRYING TO MAKE HIMSELF COOL. HOP IS A PRETEEN. AND DON’T GET ME STARTED ON HOP’S ERASURE IN HIS OWN GAME. IN HIS OWN FAMILY. BROTHER I MIGHT BE PROJECTING BUT THE FACT THAT LEON IS SO TREASURED AND FAVORED FUCKING MESSES WITH YA. ITS SO CLEAR HOP IS TRYING TO BE LEON. HOP IS IN LEONS SHADOW AND IT FEELS LIKE THE FANS IGNORE THAT AND JUST PUSH HIM TO THE SIDE AS “ONE DIMENSIONAL.” HE’S NOT. ONE OF THE BIG POINTS OF HIS CHARACTER IS THAT HE ACTS. HE ACTS CONFIDENT. HE ACTS SELF ASSURED. HE ACTS LIKE HE DOESN’T HAVE ALL OF THIS SELF DOUBT CRUSHING HIM. LEON BECAME CHAMPION AT TEN. THATS SUCH A HUGE ACHIEVEMENT THAT WOULD OVERSHADOW ANY OF HOP’S. HOPS DEAL IS BEING PUSHED DOWN THE SAME PATH AS LEON AND TRYING TO BE BETTER. TO PROVE THAT HE ISN’T JUST LEON’S ANNOYING BROTHER. BUT HIS OWN PERSON. GRRRRRR IMAGINE LIVING LIFE KNOWING YOU ARE ONLY KNOWN FIR YOUR RELATIONS TO SOMEONE ELSE. AND YOU KNOW WHAT? THERE ARE NO MEDALS OR EVEN FUCKING PICTURES OF HOP LIKE THERE ARE LEON.
