This is true: I, as a cis woman, do not have the same life experience as a trans woman.
This is also true: I do not have the same life experience as Beyoncé Knowles, Margaret Thatcher, Queen Cleopatra, Malala Yousafzai, or my own mother.
Certain persons would have me assume that I have more in common with all of the people in the previous sentence than with any randomly selected trans woman, simply because I happen to have been born with a vulva. I reject that assumption and everything that goes with it.
I support trans rights. Period.
