apparently he is called "nuadeng". do you love him?
simple screenshot redraw from a while ago :] i meant to do more of the OG and then post them in bulk but i'm hyperfixating on GO now 😔 rip my plans ig
my friends open drawing requests and i bow my head with shame and avoid eye contact as i ask for the character they Already Knew I Would Ask For
I know it's a meme that Shindou cries a lot, and I'm totally guilty of snorting at it, but to be completely fair, I don't exactly recall him ever crying without a very good reason to. Most of the time he's crying from frustration and helplessness, which is very understandable, especially given he's, like, 14. The adults all around him are failing him, all the while he has enormous responsibility put onto his shoulders. He's forced to comply with Fifth Sector's orders or risk not only literally getting beaten up, but also risk getting everybody else beaten up through sheer association with him.
Aside from that, instances of him crying in other seasons that I recall are:
Crying while thinking about the kind girl that helped him that he would never see again, because they're literally from different time periods.
Crying after the first match of Shinsei Inazuma Japan after being utterly humiliated in front of the entire country, and having no idea why any of this was happening.
On November 7, 2024, Denmark used a racist, culturally biased "parenting competency" test to remove a 2 hour old baby, Zammi, from her loving indigenous Greenlandic Inuit mother, Keira, because her native language, which uses minute facial expressions to communicate, will not be able to "[prepare] the child for the social expectations and codes that are necessary to navigate in Danish society." This test had been recommended not to be used at the federal level before this happened but certain municipalities, including the one this happened in, chose to continue to use it regardless. Not only is this blatantly racist but also violates multiple declarations and conventions that Denmark has signed that protect the rights of indigenous people.
Please sign this petition to help Keira to get her baby back.
i think it'll be a while before it all comes together but i can't stop thinking about how Ave Mujica plays off of MyGO's themes of like. Communication and failure to communicate? And how music factors into all of that?
MyGO ultimately is about discommunication, how words and action and conversation can fail, but music, because it is raw, earnest, open, and one-way, can pierce through any of that. Tomori spends the show unable to communicate properly, being misunderstood, being spoken for without her consent, being shouted down and convinced into doing things. but when it comes down to it, Tomori can express herself by singing everything she has as loud as she can. her raw emotion is able to pierce through everyone's fog and bring MyGO together in the end, because they all realize that they all felt lost all the same.
meanwhile have you kinda noticed that like. Ave Mujica really isn't a fucking band anime at all. like. at all at all. we haven't gotten any new songs, there's been more made about the times they aren't performing and are failing to perform than anything else. they aren't letting themselves be heard, they aren't communicating with each other, they aren't having that level of honest communication with each other. they aren't even singing for each other. Mutsumi falls asleep dreaming of singing, and the band never sings again. It's heartbreaking.
i think that's why the end of episode 5 is the first time i've felt genuine hope - Tomori reaching out, begging Sakiko to take back have that emotional honesty that Sakiko once forced upon an unwitting Tomori. Tomori asks Saki to join a band. It means something, goddamnit
Waaahhh thank you so much for tagging me they're very very precious I love them... T_____T💜🩵 I don't know how to describe him but I love the way you draw Sakuma's nose in the expecting tongue part lol they're both so lovely in your style
The bit of Kidou liking it when Sakuma gets angry at him always makes me laugh every time even tho I had seen it in the DMs before LMAO
I really like the thought of Kidou being down bad for Sakuma. He's a person who is as motivated by love as many others in the show, and added with the comfort level he has with Sakuma he would be as affectionate as Sakuma is to him especially in adulthood. That aside I just love the idea of Kidou being a wifeguy (gender neutral) haha
Kisaku meal is served
I like the impassible at work and professional settings to down bad trope, I think it’s funny
I’m a bit exaggerating cause like, I know Kidou is literally this emoji🧍♂️but since I saw @fraybury ‘s post about him being comfortable with Sakuma giving him physical affection it wouldn’t be crazy to think he’d like it more the older he gets and even giving back when he finally gets that stick out of his bootyhole 🙏
