CALL OUT FOR ARTISTS
Theme is BILLOW — BE PART OF A POPUP GALLERY on a grassy knoll at Bondi the Beautiful Festival on July 1.
Works can vary in size but in 3D, nothing bigger than a person & about a metre square for flat works. Minimum can be postcard size. Put a price on if you want to sell.
If you have an idea or response to this, & want to be in it, get in touch with me via DM @G_times on Twitter, oh-kye? If you need me to follow you to do this, tell me that too. OR, see my details at the Waverley Artists url to the right. Be brave!
Art takes time, thought and skill. Conceptual artists have skills. Someone said "You make art like a little kid!" hahaha. That's not a bad thing. Picasso knew that too.
Open studio in Bondi on Wednesday next week - will wear a flanno ! How the west was won: scroll down for details…
In France, the radio interview is being celebrated - comme ça:
Professional and sharp interview Gail Carson! I enjoyed it! So you will have a mask on your face! Please no super hero tricks!

One of the best things about sitting a gallery show is the people.
A man told me not to take anything personally as he ushered his unsighted mother around the walls. To him they were silly. He came out with the classic, "A 7-year old could..." and repeatedly dismissed them with "Strings. Lots of strings." "More strings."
Until he came to one, in fluoro pinks, ribbons & roses. I braced myself, then he stepped back as he told her, "Now, [big pause] this one! This one's [got me]."
So you never know. (see above)

Eastside Radio's Sylvia Rosenblum interviewed four varied artists in residencies including Taronga Zoo, Botanical Gardens and Maritime and me! The interview zeroes in on the community benefit part of my project for Waverley Council about the Parking Officers aka Rangers. Go here http://eastsidefm.org/2012/03/arts-wednesday-artists-in-residence/ and click on Gail Carson to listen.
If you have anything to share as a parking officer or a member of the public with something to say about parking at Waverley, let me know here. I'd love to have your input or question. Over to you!
