In season 2 instead of sticking with the other heroes, Sonja joins forces with the darkness. And instead of world historian killing mianite she kills him instead.
Sparklez still kills world historian but all the other heroes die due to sonja assistance. The final battle is between sparklez and sonja as the world starts to fall apart. Sonja expresses her frustration with the gods playing with their lives and making the champions slaves to there will. Sparklez tells her she's just become a tool for the shadows now instead.
Against the kikoku the only weapon he has that can actually match it is the bow of balance. It's a hard fought battle but sparklez manages to get a shot off and mortally wounds sonja. He's heavily wounded as well but manages to limp away. He doesn't have to time to revive dianite and has to jump through the portal alone. He turns to look back at the land of ruxomar falling apart. He started his journey her with all hish closest allies but is leaving alone. He falls back into the portal. The last thing he sees of that world is world historian reforming from the shadows a smug smile on his face. He's won
God,,,,,,
A) that would be an AWESOME storyline
B) Could you imagine the agony of seeing one of your closest friends turn on you? What would Sonja feel, causing the death of her friends? She turned against the gods because she felt they were using her and her friends and throwing them into danger with no remorse, yet her actions ended up being their demise. Sure, she willingly helped the Shadows and World Historian, but did the others ever really have a choice with the gods?
And Jordan being the only survivor, the only one to make it out of the treachery, floating alone in the void? That would rip him to pieces.
I can only imagine World Historian bringing Sonja back or making sure she doesn't die to help him get to her world- just so he can ruin it all again- with the promise of getting her friends back.
@ainelane
i have a question for those of you who are reading my bakugan story, do you want alice and shun to be a couple? because if that were to happen, they would be very minor, probably not even a chapter focused on them. the main ship is masq/dan, but i could add a few more.
just finished alrawabi school for girls and I’m sick no one talk to me :(
WHY is writing these next two chapters so difficult??? One is happy yet tense, and the other is sad yet laidback. I’m so frustrated by writer’s block…
This whole episode just REALLY dug (like it was making a grave) into Gus’ concerning motifs and repeated associations with Death, what with him showing a lot of respectful and kind reverence to the graves of the deceased, protecting and maintaining their memories, and being able to conjure up QUITE the nightmare for Bria!
Obviously this could be concerning, but with how Gus constantly makes references to dying in the context of trying to accomplish something, and again his respect towards the dead and their sacred graves… Did this kid have someone important to him who died? And that’s why Death is on his mind so much- Because this loss really messed with him, and it’s something Gus has been struggling with for a long time? Trying to cope and make sense of it, especially at such a young age…
Maybe trying to sort of accept and embrace it, in an almost attempted martyrdom sense? Perhaps Gus’ mother died, maybe trying to accomplish something- Again, explaining why Gus makes such a big deal about how he’ll get something done, even if someone has to die! It’s his way of venerating her sacrifice, trying to find some inspiration and meaning from the messed-up event, something to guide himself with and make sense of it all…
Did Mrs. Porter die doing research as a reporter? And that’s why Gus takes the interview in Understanding Willow so seriously… It’s not just because he admires his father Perry, so naturally he treats reporting with a special reverence; But the fact that it was something his mother died over… It only feels right and proper to pay his respects by continuing in her footsteps, carrying out that same intensity in order to honor and pay Mrs. Porter tribute!
I dunno man, I’m just getting Gus Porter feels. I dunno about you, but the constant allusions and references to Death seem suspiciously frequent and exclusive to him… And this entire episode being about Gus respecting the dead and acting on their behalf, even pretending to be vengeful ghosts from the grave- It sure makes you think, huh?
notice how their mouths never move! almost.

No, cause honestly... now I wanna write this
After watching episode 39 and talking it over with a friend, I think it would be neat if Alice knew she was Masquerade the entire time yet kept it up out of spite for the brawlers never letting her in on much. Just a thought
