I wanna rant about nikolai cuz i've noticed something in bungo stray dogs sooo (forgive me if this is something already known, i JUST got into the show and i NEED to rant about this) ALSO SPOILERS CUZ THIS HAPPENS IN SEASON 4 EP 6 I THINK?? OR AROUND THAT ONE I CAN'T REMEMBER In the episode that Fyodor and the Decay of Angels got the paper from the special book, I've noticed that on the transition screens where they would have words on a paper, it now had a hand writing the words rather than it appearing, and if I remember correctly, it was only in Nikolai's scenes that these transition screens would pop up. EX:

And y'know, they were using it against the ADA. So, in the time they got the ADA into the trap, Nikolai was now in the chair due to the BOOK and whoever was writing the scene, and said, "This is my escape. From the biological brainwashing that we call morality." "Hear me! My scream of free will!" Nikolai says he wants to be free like a bird. He most definitely KNOWS that he's in a story. The transition scenes indicate it at least. AND TO ADD ON: He said that Fyodor understood him only. But then again he said he lied (and yet again he could be lying about that). But ignoring what he said, Fyodor wants the book and knows its existence. Fyodor might know something, probably that he's in a show as well. But that I don't know. I've had another theory, but it's a HELLA stretch, especially for someone like me who just got into the show. Where Fyodor has another reason for erasing abilities like because he knows he's in a show, or something like that. I haven't properly thought about it. But I have the idea I just don't know how to put it into words. yknow the book thing reminds me of TAWOG where sarah got the CN book and wrote things to be canon and shipped lots of people together

I'm actually surprised i was able to draw even the sketch for this since i give jp within half an hour of doing ANYTHING and yet this took me two and a half hours!!!! I'm not sure if someone did this already or not because i remember seeing something similar to it but i can't tell if I'm making shit up or not, oh well

Okay, theory time!!!!!!!!!!!!;!!!!

Sorry in advanced for lack of evidence (and if this seems rushed) since the only reason I thought of this was because I was thinking about what different ideas caused Fyodor to want to rid of all abilities. (and cuz i need to finish cleaning my room)

He says it's like a demon vs angels thing (idk i kinda forgot) but like... I have doubt.

So, of course I thought, why else would he want to get rid of them? I had multiple theories:

What he says, saying that the ability users are demons. So basically religious reasoning.

He has no reason and is doing it to take over the world. (Highly unlikely, but it isn't entirely impossible.)

He knows he's in a story and wants to destroy the book as a sort of revenge./? (I had the theory that when the author of the book came to life, that's when ability users had begun to exist, but I can't really go off entirely on theory so I scrapped this theory.)

And the last one, number 4, where he just wants to take away the abilities for the things they do to HIM. Now, this theory kind of ties into the first, which what he just originally says, but most of the reason is that he views "sinners" the way they are because of the fact that his immortality is like a punishment to him. Therefore he wishes to remove the sin from the world and wants to save the "angels".

I feel that he may have been a good person when he was younger, but y'know, after staying alive for so long it can get depressing.

Death is terrible but it's better to die one time than to live trillions of years. You'd be unable to love others because you know they'll be gone within a century, and though you could make the sacrifice of getting hurt by their death, it would really break you down after a while, depending if you haven't become desensitized to it yet. Humanity as well will be gone as a whole eventually since there's no fighting the inevitable explosion of the sun. And once again, that's if humanity hasn't progressed enough by then to escape it. But even so, you'll always be lonely in the end. I doubt the human mind can handle loneliness long enough.

So, I think, Fyodor is just insane. Literally all it is. He has good intentions, though it may be a bit for selfish reason (but who can blame that? immortality sucks). But he has REALLY fucking insane ways of achieving his goals. Like damn?? I've heard of what happened in the recent chapter and I'm just.

There are better ways to find that book.

I also think that Fyodor thinks of abilities in a religious way is that it's his way to cope I guess??? I haven't really thought about it.

I dunno, I hate fyodor but god his character is so interesting

so is dazai's, but HOLY SHIT he's so hard to analyze. My best theory is that he's just lonely.

i really think that fyodor is just batshit insane and I'm not saying it to excuse his actions, but more that it would make sense saying so. (at least imo) i will elaborate more later since I'm cleaning my room and I'm only typing this down as a note for myself
