I really wanted to make a piece with Luca and Alberto underwater since I love the ambience of the sea and I needed to draw them being soft with each other.

[SPOILERS]

This is what I imagine Luca and Alberto to do as soon as Luca gets back to Portorosso for the summer. They'd spend the entire day in the ocean, playing around, enjoying that they're finally together after months apart. Then, when they get tired from swimming and jumping like dolphins, they just let the water carry them or go somewhere quiet, where they hug, chat, and enjoy the presence of the other. And Alberto definitely gives Luca thousands of forehead and cheek kisses.

Yes that's what I think Luca thought the first time he saw Alberto and I don't regret doing this

I watched Luca for the 5th time yesterday, am I obsessed?

Anyways, here's half human/half sea monster Luca and Alberto, I know many artists have done this already but I wanted to make my version too!

I decided to go for a similar style to the movie's cause I honestly think it's so cute and I absolutely love it, but I didn't intend to make the exact same style and tried to keep some aspects of my own so there might be some differences

Alberto's drawing took me longer than I expected for some reason, making his hair was a challenge for me but it was also pretty fun! I also loved messing with the colors and making the details on their faces! I struggled with the water at first but after some tries I finally found an way that I was satisfied with and I actually like how it came out a lot!

Alberto's been hurt before and has the huge fear of being rejected because of his true form, so I wanted his piece to express some sort of insecurity, anger and fear feeling, while Luca is easily amazed and has a huge feeling of curiosity, so I wanted his piece to express surprise and admiration, like the first time he went to the surface and turned into human

It took me a LONG time but it was very fun to work on those drawings, I put a lot of effort into them and I'm very proud of the final results so I really hope you like it!

So, my first idea was to draw only the Bishops, but then I decided to draw the Lamb too and finally the Goat! So here's them separately:

I wanted to make something close to the game's style but in my own art style as well! I eventually turned them all into wallpapers and now my phone is happily and proudly COTL themed ❤
