Hello, my friend! I was wondering if you can make a little tutorial of sorts on how you make Goatmom and Sans look scary. You know, like in the "Does little Pup get sick?" and the "What would happen if Little Pup was killed?" comics. (Thank you for being you)

Heya, my friend! I’ve never done a tutorial before, but let me try showing you how I draw scary looking Sans? XD

As for Toriel, there isn’t much to it…? Just look for sharp looking eyes and make her pupils smaller. XD

Nightmare just looks at his shaking hands as he opens and closes them, the goop that once married his bones were now gone, he snarled as he looked up at dream but it died just as fast as it risen up when he seen dream.

“This is a nightmare…” he said as dream looked at him with fear on his face as well, it stuck them like a bolt of lightning as leaves started to fall around them as they looked behind them, and there their mother stood, just as strong and proud as the day she was destroyed.

Aaaaa!! Just that small part popped up in my head!

Seen your post about the two going back in time and I’m sitting here just all YES!! YES PLEASE!!! And for dream to FINALLY see what the freaking villagers were doing to NM!!

I can just imagine Dream seeing the Villagers in a new light and getting more stern with them, only to realize that the more he closes them off, the more drastic their treatment of Nm becomes.

Maybe it causes new problems for them, like Dream wanting to protect his brother but Nightmare is Passive now and wants nothing more than to run away or eat the apples again.

Maybe Passive is horrified that he is weak again and that his old habit of being a coward is back.

Alright, so as it says the best was to start out is to draw the “line of action”. I drew a few different examples of lines of action going through different sketches (the bright blue line). This line represents the way the figure will move, and usually starting at the head and following the most prominent foot. However sometimes it will follow one hand to the other hand, or one hand to one foot, depending on the pose.

Let’s do a simple pose, though, just for the purposes of teaching.

This step does not have to be perfect. Think if it as a guildline for the rest of the drawing. Use the line of action to determine how you want the figure to pose.

Keep it loose! It doesn’t need to be neat and tidy. Also, remind that a figure like sans is three dimensional, so add guildlines to help you remember to keep him that way.

Another thing to keep in mind at this step is the height. You have probably heard that humans are 8 heads tall. And this is where I call malarkey on that. In a perfectly proportioned world, every human would be 8 heads tall. However, that would make us all look like Greek gods and superman. Women typically range about six to six and a half heads tall while men range six and a half to 7 heads tall. (Sans is both short and squat so he is 6 heads tall in my mind.)

This is where we deviate from a traditional figure. Sans is made of bones and doesn’t have a waist to draw, so while normally this is where you’d add the stomach and any chub to the figure, Sans is just bone.

This also doesn’t have to be perfect! This is a guildline for the final drawing, so don’t stress yourself out.

For the next bit, I switched my pen up in Krita, before I was using a regular “Ink pen” to make everything more obvious and easier to see, now I used the pencil tool, because it’s easier to get the details and thin lines I want.

Some thing I’ve noticed looking at beginners art (and at my old art) is that clothes are a pain in the butt to get right. I still struggle. Often times I see clothes that look more plastered on to bodies instead of the figure wearing them. The best way to avoid this is to use the 3D guide you drew and make sure the clothes follow the contours of the body. Sans doesn’t have a stomach, so his shirt is more likely to have a deep wrinkle between his ribs and pelvis.

A good way to get good at drawing clothes is to use lots of references. Like pictures from fashion magazines or just fashion blogs where people take pictures if their clothes. That way you can see the way the clothes work on the human form. (I don’t recommend using drawn references, because it’s better observe from real life)

Another important part of this step is facial features and expressions. Part of why I like drawing Sans is because his expressions are sometimes hard to come up with. It’s a good idea to match expressions with the way you poses the figure. I drew him pretty relaxed, so I gave him a relaxed expression. Another expression I could have used was sheepish, having him look off to the sad. Or maybe even sad, with less of a smile, looking a bit more down. It’s good to experiment and see what you like as well.

I’m next just going to talk about basic coloring (because this isn’t about coloring) so if you want a full coloring tutorial, let me know.

Sans has a very basic color scheme, and therefore I have fun playing around with styles of his clothes more. However, a good tip to remember is coloring, try and desaturated you colors, meaning that instead of choosing the brightest blue or green, slide that color slider over and pick a one mixed with grey. A tint or shade of that color. It looks much better on the eye.

For shading, you’re going to want to place your light source some where. Whether it be over heard, off to the side, or down below, just know that the side you put the light source on is where the light is and on the other side is where the shadow is. For beginners I recommend having a physical remind of the light source (like my light bulb drawing) to remind you of where you want to shade, but as you get better, you won’t need to anymore.

As a personal choice, I don’t use black as a shadow color. I use mostly blue or purple. I recommend trying it to see if you like it, because to me it looks more realistic.

Please remember that is this is just how I draw, and it’s not how everyone has to do it! And I encourage all artists to find their own way of doing things, but sometimes you need a little guidance. So I hope this helps.

Broken stars chapter 1 part 1

Shift tilted his skull at the others as they got ready to fight him, he scanned the fice for a moment and pointed at them “eenie.” He pointed at blue making him stiffen up. “Meenie” then moved on to point at Horror and Ink making them grit their teeth. “Miney” He pointed to Killer who brought his arms up, ready for an attack as well when Shift pointed at dust who was already in a defensive position Shift grinned at him. “You!” He said in a deep voice as he Blinked out of existence, making the group panic slightly before Shift blinked back into existence, his hand reaching for Dust’s face, making him freeze. ‘How is he so fast with short cuts!?’ He thought as an ax made of bone got in between the two, making Dust shake his head as Killer and Horror stood protectively in front of Dust but ecto started to slowly form on their skulls as Shift just tilted his head at them, a fanged grin on his skull. “Seems like I can’t play with you just yet Dusty.” Shift said as He looked at Horror. “I guess you will be the one I play with.” He said as he lunged at Horror. Horror’s eye widened as he brought his arm up to swat Shift away, but he was too slow when Shift grabbed his head, Horror growled as he tried to throw him off but soon ticking filled his head as he managed to yank Shift off and throw him to the side. Shift landed easily on the ground only to jump away as Killer and Blue attacked him, doing their best to get the skeleton away from them while Dust and Ink checked on horror. They tried to get him to look at them but Horror kept his back to them as he dropped to his knees. “Come on buddy.. Speak to me.” Dust said as he gripped Horror’s shoulder and made him turn to face him. But what he saw made Dust and Ink’s eyelights widen as Ink took a step back from him. Horror was looking at them with panic in his eye lights as they backed away from him “I-I can see…” He said with a shaky tone to his voice as Horror went to tug at his eye socket out of habit but was stopped by Dust. “Don’t touch it, we don’t know if that is really your eye or not.” He said as Ink shook himself and jogged over to them, after putting broomie onto his back he took Horror’s face into his hands and turned his face to the left and right to examine his eye.

part 2

Rewound Dream Chapter 1 Time to go back. pt 1

‘tick tock tick tock.' Went the clocks that hung on long fabrics, with the ticking of the clocks more fabric was made, this land was the time verse, this was Shifters home. "Tick, tock, tick tock~" A voice rang somewhat above the ticking of clocks. "Looks like outertale is doing well." The skeleton said as they touched the clock as it ticked away. "As expected..." They said as their smile slowly turned into a frown. "It's always the same.... " They said as they walked away from outertale and looked at the other clocks and watched them tick away. humming a bit they walked to a clock that was hanging from a pink cloth, with a smirk the skeleton reached out and stopped the hour hand of the clock making undernovela pause at a pivotal moment in the whole show. "OH COME O-O-ON!!!" The skeleton snickers when Error's scream reaches them. "Always love that sound~" they said as they let the hour hand go to continue the show. "As entertaining as that is...'' they walked away from the clock. "I want something different..." They said as they walked over to two glowing clocks, one teal like the night sky and one bright like the sun, the cloth that came from them were always twisting around one another. with a wave of their hand the cloths from the clocks whipped out to the skeleton and went taught as if it was on a loom and scenes started to show things currently happening. Dream and Nightmare were currently fighting like they always have and always will. The skeleton watched as Ink tossed Blue towards Killer who just laughed as he threw a knife at Blue who easily blocked it, only to be tackled by Horror as he rode on one of Dust's blasters. "Brother! Once again I implore you to stop this!" Dream begged as he used his bow to protect himself from two of Nightmare's tentacles only to get struck by the other two making him yell out in pain as the two tentacles wrapped around his neck and body and lifted him off of the ground. "When will you realize I will never stop! I will delve into the dark embrace of negativity!" He yelled as he started to slam dream into the ground only to drop dream to quickly get out of the way as Ink swung broomie making sharpened bones of ink shootout at him. "Ha! You really think we will let you do that!!" Blue yelled as he Blocked Horror's bone ax from crashing down on him. The skeleton that watched them soon had a wide smile spread across their skull as they snapped their fingers, the two clocks stopped completely.

on the battlefield the two groups stopped when their leaders stopped moving completely. Blue ran to dream and grabbed their arm and gave it a bit of a shake, well tried to, Dream was as solid as stone and didn't move an inch. Killer ran to Nightmare and started to wave his hand in front of his face as Dust and Horror tried to get Nightmare's attention.

"Oh no matter what you do you won't be able to wake them from their suspended state!" A voice called out to them, making the five quickly turn to the voice. "Ink.... I didn't know you had a brother..." Blue said as he took a step back. "I... I don't." Ink said as he held up his brush in defense. The skeleton just laughed as a grin spread across his skull. "Oh I am not a brother to you ink, I am a variant of you!" They said proudly as they spread their arms out wide before bending forward into an elegant bow. "My name is Shifter, Or shift if you so wish to call me." pt 2
