When will the voices in my head just stop and let me rest?

The scar had not pained Harry for nineteen years. All was well.

That aforementioned darkness is stalking your light.”
May you write 1,500 words with ease. May your characters be lively and not cardboard. May you need little editing. May your muse visit you as soon as you sit. May the Internet not distract you much. May your phone lie dormant while you write.
when talking about fleabag, we all talk about "I love you"/" it'll pass" but what we don't talk about maybe cause it's implied, maybe cause just quoting this encapsulates the feeling but listen,
the lines go fleabag saying "I love you" and the hot priest says "it'll pass" and THEN HE SAYS "i love you too"
idk if you have to name it to know it, but the fact that he confesses his love for her, the fact that he chose God, the fact that despite right person-wrong time or maybe wrong person-right time, despite all that, it'll pass. The love wasn't unrequited but the choice was. the subsequent grief, heartbreak, it'll pass
this is just earth-shattering, cause the only person that truly saw her, loved her for what she was, didn't choose her, and no matter what it'll pass. as if the greatest heartbreak of life is that it keeps moving on and you have to move on with it POETIC CINEMA
‘destiel is queerbait’ ‘destiel is canon and therefore not queerbait’
wrong. destiel defies regular definitions of canon and queerbait and in fact it’s both because of the sheer chaos going on in that writers room,, like one writer was doing heartfelt canon destiel, another one was only doing destiel for the bit, another one was doing queerbait destiel, another one was doing unrequited destiel, another one was actively trying to undermine someone else’s work and view of the pairing, and I could go on
The fact that Victor Vale agreed to kill himself without hesitation so he might get superpowers tells you everything you need to know about the state of higher education.
I stumbled upon a video on tiktok about how one would do anything for their siblings apart from something really simple. And you know it's true. All of those who have siblings know it's true. Of course, I am going to cover you to our parents when you are out getting tattoos, but no I am not taking the trash out for you.
My little brother had an "adventure" of sorts this summer and ended up in the hospital. He is completely fine, there is nothing to worry about now. But back then the doctors said that if he hadn't come to the hospital when he had, he would be in desperate need of a kidney transplant and probably a liver one as well. It goes without saying how worried my parents were. My older brother and I were too, but had there been the need, we would be racing towards the hospital to give him one of our kidneys. No questions asked, we would be there. And we know he would do the same too.
It's those things but also the most trivial that show how much you care about one another. It is how my little brother always picks up his phone when I call him, even when he is out clubbing. It's how whenever I call any of my brothers to keep me company while I walk home at night, they are always there with no complaints.
It's how they always check whether I am wearing my seatbelt before they start the car. They may not bring me my charger when I ask them to or tell me to go get a glass of water myself. But it's how they will pay for my coffee when we are out together and even remember my order. It's how I know they can tell when I am struggling.
So yeah, siblings. They get on your nerves. Most of the time you don't want to do what they tell you to, or don't want to give them your things. You always fight and snitch on each other over the stupidest things. BUT, they are a friend for life. You know that no matter what, they are there. Sometimes, I don't know what to do with this information. How lucky one can be, to have siblings right? No matter the scraped knees and the bruises from all the fights.
So many people seem to think YA and NA are the same thing, or NA is YA but with the sex. Have a bullet list from someone who’s tired of seeing them lumped into the same category.
Young Adult
the target audience is 12 to 18 years old
the protagonists are usually kiddos that still live at home and need their parents’ signatures on official documents
themes commonly work with personal relationships on an emotional level, and do a lot of coming-of-age/coming-into-ones-own-identity
sex, swearing, and violence are all watered down for a younger audience
New Adult
the target audience is 18 to 30 years old
the protagonists are of the moving-out age and can start making the big decisions on their own
themes commonly encompass the overall lifestyle shift of taking on adult responsibilities, moving away from home, and dealing with the consequences of the aforementioned big decisions
there is potential the sex, and the swearing, and the violence
These are incomplete lists, but the point is please, please, please stop equating these two different, but equally valuable, genres.
I cannot even begin to articulate how beautiful and heartbreaking the Kevin moment was.
The idea that this man who Chimney loved as a brother, who he lost too soon, came back to him in his moment of need and pointed him home? The way Kevin is one of his ghosts, but only in the most loving way.
As tragic as it was, losing Kevin brought with it a realization of unconditional love in the Lees—because not only did they manage to love him through the hurt, but they needed him, too. He wasn't a reminder of their pain—he was the son they had left who they could have lost, too, but didn't. He was love and joy, even through all the hurt. They were a family. A little bit broken, but built on the kind of foundation Chimney had never had until them, at least not since he'd lost his mom.
For Kevin to be the one to point him home? To send him to the two people whose unconditional love had kept him alive, if only in their hearts? To the parents who'd raised them both and didn't deserve to lose another son? To the two people who had never let him down?
It's just a lot.
