Though he's patient, Eren can't suppress his laughter sometimes while teaching you German.

How to pronounce schätzelein (this is just me being a crackhead)

"Ah, you're precious." Eren huffs away a laugh.

"Did I not pronounce it right?" You look at him with big eyes.

"Well, for the most part, you did — it's just — " He licks the inside of his cheek, and has to huff away a laugh again, " — Don't worry about it, let's continue."

So you continue, and Eren doesn't correct your pronunciation of that one word, because it cracks him up. Meanwhile, you're sitting there wondering why he's trying so hard to suppress giggles and growing red in the face.

He reaches a breaking point and leans back onto your bed, ringing out with the best laugh you've ever heard.

"What — what on earth did you just say?" He wheezes.

"I don't know, you tell me!" You throw your hands up.

Eren sighs and heaves a breath to steady himself after such a good laugh.

"Precious, you're absolutely precious." He thinks to himself.

Eren composes himself, and then leans in close to you so he can peer at your textbook. His scent is so soft and comforting, you almost want to give up learning for the day just so you can rest on his chest and sleep.

After correcting your pronunciation, and slowly reciting the phrase with you, syllable-by-syllable, Eren looks at you tenderly.

"What?" You look up at him.

"Huh?" He flicks up his brows.

"What are you looking at me like that for?" You smile shyly.

"Nothing." He says nonchalantly, and looks back at the textbook, "I just think it's cool that you want to learn German. I mean, your pronunciation is — "

" — Don't say it!"

" — Absolutely dreadful — but you'll get there."

For some reason his lips spread into a grin. He's probably thinking of all the words you mispronounced today. Ah, yeah, he definitely is, look; now he's suppressing laughter again.

"What!" You cry out, "What is it this time!" You laugh with him.

"Nothing, nothing, ah, you're the sweetest, ' schätzelein." He says.

"What does that mean?" You ask, squinting at him in suspicion, "Did you just call me an idiot or something?"

"Figure it out." He teases.

"That's not fair! Tell me! C'mon, please, I wanna know!" You whine.

Eren just grins at you evilly, and continues teaching as if he didn't just call you 'darling'. He stubbornly refused to tell you what it meant.

I will never forget how my mom and grandma howled with laughter when I was trying to learn the lyrics to YouSeeBigGirl. I can't live down my pronunciation of lebendige ┐('～`;)┌

what personally helped me in my shifting journey.

ʚɞ i learned that nothing is truly needed. it was always about want. if i didn’t want to do something, i didn’t do it. simple.

ʚɞ i formed my own opinions and beliefs. i would always follow what other people said about shifting and never really tried to think of what i personally believed.

ʚɞ i learned not to care about doubts or limited beliefs— which is easier said than done. i think it’s so easy for me because i know doubts will not slow down my journey. i know i have the ability to shift whenever i want to, no matter what.

ʚɞ misinformation truly didn’t matter to me anymore. even if you have been fed with misinformation, you can still shift either way. because there is no right or wrong way to shift— i think just clearing your mind and getting rid of that misinformation is more freeing instead of it being required.

ʚɞ i stopped looking for proof. i would always try to shift just because i wanted to prove it to people, but i realized i didn’t need to prove anything to anyone. shifting is a personal journey, they can find proof themselves. i will prove it to myself instead

ʚɞ i stopped looking for the “key” to shifting. every night i would open tumblr, looking for advice that would somehow make everything click. girl, everything already clicked. i know what i need, or WANT to know. and there is no key to shifting, why would there be a key if there’s nothing to unlock?

ʚɞ i don’t think of it as imagining, i think of it as remembering. those are my memories. they aren’t just daydreams, that is already my life. i experienced that. i am always in my DR.

ʚɞ when you’re living your life in your DR, all it takes is a simple decision if you want to go back to your CR. “i want to go back,” and you will go back. i think of shifting to my DR the same way. it’s all a decision— and it’s instant.

I'm going to be truthfully honest with you, I probably am not the one to ask for advice on channeling. I went about it the completely wrong way and wound up endangering myself, there were some situations. So I'll try my best to give advice on the basis of "don't do what I did." But I highly recommend doing some outside research as well. Don't just rely on me. (I'll link a pretty decent article to get started)

So keep in mind: channeling is spirit work.

You are interacting with spirits and entities when you do such, and it comes with risks.

Always protect yourself and your space

Set up boundaries and barriers every time you invite an entity into your space

Channeling is energetically draining so make sure to check in with yourself and not over-exert yourself.

I'm not going to recommend the method I typically use to beginners at this time as it can be a bit more dangerous and when not properly ready it can bite you in the butt (like it did me).
