some thoughts about ellie & abby sleeping <3

- abby is a rigid sleeper. she wakes up in the exact same position she fell asleep.

- when you sleep together, she insists on being the big spoon, holding you tight so you can’t escape her arms.

- sometimes she holds you so tight that you can’t breathe, this is hell in summer. your bodies are all sticky because of the heat, but abby insists on being skin to skin.

- she makes sure you are comfortable and warm, and if she does spontaneously wake up in the middle of the night, she’ll check if your feet are being covered by the blankets before falling asleep again.

- i feel like she does drool on specific nights where she is really tired and her sleep is very deep, but not an excessive amount.

- always has an alarm set up for very early next morning, when she goes to the gym. of course you never go with her and would rather stay sleeping because you’re not a psycho <3

- definitely brings you breakfast to bed if she comes back home and you’re still sleeping.

- on the other hand, ellie is an absolute nightmare to sleep with. she is messy as fuck.

- she wiggles and moves all night long, sometimes accidentally kicking you. it’s like sleeping with a toddler.

- as a child, i can imagine her falling out of bed at least thrice a week. most of the time she just kept sleeping on the floor, with the blankets she also kicked. imagine joel’s face when she sees her doing this for the first time.

- because she totally is a blanket stealer, but she doesn’t hog them for herself, they just end up all bundled up at the end of the bed or on the floor because of how much she fucking wiggles!!!!

- she totally drools. and snores sometimes.

- she can either wake up in the best mood, eager to wake you up and talk to you about the dreams she had, or in the worst mood ever, being so grumpy and a crybaby.

- of course in the rare occasion she chooses to wake up early she sets up a thousand alarms. if she has to be out of the house at 8:30, she’ll set an alarm for 7:40, 7:55, 8:05, 8:15, 8:20. she sleeps through every single one of them, it’s always you who’s waking her up.

-in the mornings, when you want to get out of bed to get your day started, she holds you super tight and doesn’t let you move, “it’s too fucking early baby” “please just five more minutes” “hey! i'm not done cuddling yet!”

- ellie’s always super lovey dovey when she wakes up after a good night of sleep <3 such a baby
