ID Dates. Remember when there was that random conversation in the middle of Neverseen and Forkle was like 'Oh, you're not actually 13 you're 14 because in elf we start counting life at conception. Birthdays? tf are those, we have ID dates which have no actual purpose.' And at first I thought this was just a poorly executed move to narrow the age difference and speed up Sophie's dating life, but re-reading it, the implication is that elves are pro-life, because the argument for that is that life begins at conception. I'm not sure if it was inadvertent or not, but does this mean elves are anti abortion? And does this mean Shannon Messenger is pro-life too? IDK, not sure how I feel about this one.
How can they not notice Oralie is Sophie's biological mum if they have both of their DNA?
Everything about abilities manifesting. Average age is 12-15 right? Imagine if when you manifested your voice cracked. That would 100% make the book better.
Tam and Linh's hair dye. Namely where do I get this stuff. But also...it's molten silver. Surely it would just burn off their hair. Imagine them attempting to make their super powerful statement and ending up with a pile of burnt hair mixed with goopy silver and Linh trying not to laugh while Tam stews.
To counteract my previous repost of a vaguely anti tony post. Tony Stark you're still great!

you suck
and I hope the next time you go to the cinema a child is crinkling a wrapper really loudly in an important and quiet scene.

Queen Elizabeth sleeps while I play bongos!!
every single channel is airing news of the queen's death except E4 which refuses to interrupt reruns of the big bang theory
This is late but Happy Ides of March everyone!
I think one of the reasons the first wives club was so good was because it was about women supporting women. A lot of comedies pit women against each other and 90% of the time it's because they're fighting over guys. Mean Girls and Bride Wars and the like. High School Musical 2 is a prime example. But then there's these brilliant movies like Pitch Perfect and the First Wives club where it's about friendships and platonic love which are really brilliant. They're refreshing. I watched it and for a movie that was made in the 90s it has aged REALLY well. In the first wives club even though they're angry at the young women their husbands are dating, it's not made out to be their fault. It's more aimed at their husbands.
It is so funny. I think i cried laughing. Also kudos to them for having a lesbian character who was shown in such a positive light. I cannot believe this was made in the 90s. (I've mentioned this like three times I know) The mum is so supportive about the her daughter coming out and makes a huge effort to connect with her.
Look, after a hard separation, I am very much okay with the fact that Keeper of The Lost Cities is not that good of a book, and falling off the bandwagon ends is sad, but objectively not my fault.
But like- I can't stop thinking about it.

Christmas is fun because life is normal but now I have the added stress of buying presents I’m not sure people will like and all of a sudden I no longer like Mariah Carey.
