Thank you so much for doing my request! To answer your question, the only story like this that I was going to request was the predator one. But I was telling my friend about Tumblr's I follow and I mentioned the story you wrote for me. So he asked me to request an Android 18 version of it. But I really like the way you write. Most people who do requests only write a few paragraphs. But you go the extra mile and make it feel like a real story with detail! So I just wanna say again, thanks.

I'm very happy to hear that! Yeah, I love writing, it's my passion. I don't mind too much what I write(as long as I'm familiar with the source material) but I always do try to above and beyond. Especially for people requesting stuff, because I really wanna showcase my talent and show them how grateful I am for the request!

Honestly, this story was very fun to write. I love writing outside of what I normally do and facesitting for domination is definitely something I haven't done until you requested it! It really helped me expand my own knowledge too since I looked into it.

OKAY, I HAVE A HOT TAKE:

They were so hard on Jim bc of a few reasons:

1) he is a child, most trollhunters weren't chosen until they were adults, so having a child be chosen is shocking. Would you trust the fate of the world to a child? Cause I know I wouldn't. I'd even be iffy on someone in their 20s.

2) he's a human, yes the amulet was made by Merlin, a magical human, but it was made for the trolls, to be used by trolls(more or less). To see something that is so highly praised and protected be wielding by someone who is part of a group that tried to kill off/enslave ur entire species IS unsettling and upsetting. Regardless of that person's true intentions.

However, this is where I think my opinion is a bit controversial, Jim wouldn't have succeeded if not for his friends. Troll culture is very much, "do it yourself" and doesn't exactly praise brains or teamwork when it comes to their warriors. Jim always had his friends, and tried to make friends with his enemies- even giving them second chances(which from the troll perceptive is seen as weakness or pitying). He worked as a group, and it was shown that when he split off and tried to do things himself, he ended up getting in over his head or nearly killed, to which his crew would then show up and aid him. The amulet was never met for just one person to wield. It was meant for a group, for the leader to wear. It's no different than a crown or a rank. Like the Matrix of Leadership from Transformers. It marks who is best to lead at that time, not who's best to protect, and definitely not meant to be used alone.

The reason the others failed where Jim succeeded was bc of the people who he loved and the ones who loved him.

Update..of sorts

Hey guys, I'm in a funk currently. Stress with work, living situation and just general depression has left me creatively drained. I currently don't feel confident in my abilities to fill any requests. I'm gonna try to write to maybe see if my inspiration will come back to me- but I think this is one of those things I just have to wait for it to pass.

On the Internet, there are spaces that are moderated and meant to be safe for kids, and spaces that aren’t. Nintendo has very strict content rules and adults that play games like Splatoon are expected to follow those rules. When I was 10, my Mom found a lovely Animal Crossing fan forum that was run by a dedicated team of moderators who kept all content safe for kids. These kinds of spaces are deliberately carved out to create fannish spaces that are safe for child fans where adults are welcome to participate but must follow the content rules.

Tumblr and Ao3 are not spaces like this. Adults are allowed to post what they want so long as appropriate content warnings are attached. While Tumblr desktop is open for teenagers under 18 (the mobile app is still 17+) it’s a good opportunity for them to learn how to police their own consumption of content, respect the boundaries that adults set for that content, avoid things that bother them, and start to see people in different age groups as peers rather than authority figures. Don’t like it? Go back to a forum where there are adults who are willing to filter content for you. Think their content rules are too strict? Well, learning to moderate your own fannish experience is part of growing up and handling the maturity required for having your own freedom.
