ok ok so there were some differences in the anime's version of Lizzy's flashback i found interesting:

Like look at what this scene implies here. That Lizzy was grieving so much that she was stuck to the graves constantly until Ciel came back, like lifting off a curse. And she was still wearing black, which yes she should've been. I think it was odd that she didn't in the manga, but it was likely because she was told her fiance was back, so her mourning garbs weren't necessary.

Also I like how Ciel has to lean up to Lizzy here, showing her maturity/size is something he has to measure up to, so she makes sure to shorten that distance as much as possible.

Last detail, it's cute how instead of Ciel checking on Lizzy falling behind, he points out a dress she might like. Definitely shows how she associates her sacrifice with being rewarded with his affection.

I was today years old when I realized the reason why ciel is only wearing one shoe while lizzy wears two is because the twin is wearing the other one 🥺🥺

i hate when people portray older au lizzy getting more refined for ciel's sake and him getting somewhat ~impressed~ by her, like bffr. this boy doesn't care about fashion, trends, high society parties, and dresses like a slob when he's home (source: yana), like sorry but if anyone isn't refined it isn't lizzy likeee

I'm sorry but why does Ciel happen to have an outfit that matches Lizzy on a trip they weren't planning on going together? Or does every outfit Ciel has naturally coordinates with Lizzy's because Nina makes both of their clothes anyway?
