The Black Dogs of England are said to be violent predictors of death and doom, but that is not always the case. The Gurt Dog (“Great Dog”) is said to wander around Quantock Hills in Somerset, England, and it is different compared to its fellows. The Gurt Dog is said to be a kind and gentle protector of those that wander the moors. It is specifically a protector to small children and legend says that the Gurt Dog watches over children that play alone and will even help guide lonely travelers.
North America got the massive sasquatch

Tsuchinoko:
Tsuchinoko are described as being between 30 and 80 centimetres in length, similar in appearance to a snake, but with a central girth that is much wider than its head or tail, and as having fangs and venom similar to that of a viper. Some accounts also describe the tsuchinoko as being able to jump up to a meter in distance.
According to legend, some tsuchinoko have the ability to speak and a propensity for lying, and is also said to have a taste for alcohol
