genuinely stunned at the fantastic choice for Percy not to pray to his absent and unknown father—like he did in the books—but to his mother.
the show is really taking us to one of riordan’s central theses straight off the bat.
parenthood isn’t about power and legacy and the recognition of shared blood.
It’s about the incredible act of showing up for your child—again and again and a-fucking-gain. That’s how you inspire respect. That’s how you become a child’s patron and beloved god.

This was requested by many people. I wouldn't call it a tutorial due to being rather simple, but I hope you enjoy it anyway!
Do you think the island challenge amulets would look a different depending on the island it was gotten on?
Like Melemele's is obviously wooden but maybe Alala's would be rock/stone because Olivia is a rock specialist; maybe Ula'ula's would be made of old metal to reflect its kahuna being a cop (metal badges) as well as Tapu village and Po town being abandoned/rundown; maybe Poni island's would be clay like the Vast Poni Canyon
Percy heard the Oracle say that he's going to be betrayed by a friend, and he goes "Fuck you, my best friend Grover would NEVER do that he's my OG."
This started out as drawing in relation a writing project I'm (hopefully) going to do and I liked how it turned out so figured I'd share
not enough platonic cuddling in this world methinks
