In my story Donald of Mars, I use fiction to try to give people a more realistic view of what living in the underground tunnels that will make up a Mars colony will be like. Set only a few years after the first people have landed, it follows Donald as he tries to build a home, business, and relationships, among all the diverse people with all their different goals after completing a construction…

This is an image that mage.space generated when I gave it my description of a Tomlin. I have no idea why it gave the spear such a ridiculous head on it. Other than that, it isn’t too far off from what I was envisioning when I started writing about Kara all those years ago. Tomlins are green bipedal reptiles with large T-Rex style heads, roughly 1.4 meter tall and were the first outside race that…

Mike, why do they call you Doug? I was in the army. What does that have to do with it? They used to call me General too, but Doug stuck when I got out. I didn’t know you were an officer. Wasn’t. Five stripes was the highest I got. How does that become Doug or General? Michal Christian Author. I still don’t get it. M. C. Author was on much of my stuff. What? MacArthur OK Doug

“Stop burning the body,” demanded Shia, leading her guards into the smoke-filled chamber. “Your highness? Your father bade me destroy this thing,” the large, bare-chested priest responded in surprise, dumping red glowing coals from his shovel. “And you’ve been trying for four moons,” she snapped. “She still starts growing flesh the moment you take her bones out of the fire?” In a whisper he…

The assumption that with enough that with high enough technology, it is possible to break the universe leads to many interesting conclusions. It almost eliminates the possibility of an older, more powerful race, except under certain circumstances. Quite simply if you can break the universe, there is no way to prevent people who would do so from figuring out how to. It will take time, but it will…

10,000 year into our future, a fourth universe that people can survive in is discovered. Technology doesn’t work there. Most modern material can’t exist there. It is infinite. It is 10^63 years old. It is artificial. Lieutenant Peter Jeffries has to take his platoon there. Read about it and other of my stories on Ream or Kindle…

Over a month ago, my drip coffee maker broke. instead of getting a new one of fixing it, I have been boil water with coffee in it then poring that into the filter by hand. Doing that I use less than half the coffee for a far better tasting cup. Drip coffeemaker are wasteful. They also use more electric than I realized, keeping your coffee hot.
