Sick of never being chosen, Monika decides that desperate actions need to be taken. However, despite knowing that they're just code, she truly believes that the girls in the club are her friends, and hurting them locks her into the bad end no matter what. But what if she didn't hurt them?

First things first, she had to deal with Sayori… no, she had to stay as is for now. She was the hook for the protagonist after all, so she had to… bring the protagonist to the club, and keep them happy. But what if she… just tweaked a line of code.

After that, she noticed that Sayori was even friendlier with her, so that was good, right? That would help her really push for Monika to be the final girl, and avoid raising doom flags. Good, so next is Yuri, oh she could be tricky, nothing like a slice and dice to her code would work. Carefully she scoured the code, and… huh, that's a lot of flags for Natsuki. Maybe a small nudge there? Yeah, she and Natsuki are cute together.

Huh, she is getting more interaction with all of her best friends, and Protagonist is showing interest in her as well, that's great! She is the best at making her reality a thing. Soon it will be just Monika and the protagoni- Wait, couldn't the others see this was a date? Why are they sitting down?

. . . Why did all of them kiss her goodnight and ask when their next date was?

^shikamaru’s visuals for my fic “the twelfth guardian” posted like five minutes ago.

okay, context: for the longest time i had this plot bunny about naruto being raised at the daimyo’s mansion and i finally wrote it for a shikanaru fic. only, it’s entirely from shikamaru’s pov and it’s plot heavy and i ended up writing it out for four days straight (it’s not complete but mostly it’s done) and i had way more fun with it than i thought i would. sometimes, writing for fics helps you articulate a thought you never realised you had and it happened quite a few times with this fic. i ended up making art for it because i was so absorbed by the images in my head (i’ll upload more stuff as the other two chapters come out). currently, the doc sits at 24k+ words and this will end up being around 32k i reckon. also, most importantly, this is the reference image i used for shika! it was originally from a tutorial. i’m not good at making up characters from memory or creating believable poses (using a laptop-app for digital art for the first time!) but i’m good at sketching from a source. so this helped immensely. making his sword was super fun!! anyway, goooo read if the summary is your vibe and lemme know your thoughts!
