WWWO Fireside Chat: ep31 "The Souvenir"
Ran a Zelda-themed PF2e session today. There was a boss fight against a six-armed, leaf-mask-wearing warrior construct named Koroktos, and yes, I am extremely proud of that name.
*Spoilers for Burrow's End Ep. 5 & 6*
So I think everyone immediately knew that the Blue/the Light was a direct result of some fucked-up nuclear shit when the word "reactor" was uttered once (and I'm willing to bet a lot of people knew before that but I either didn't or have forgotten), but also my dumb ass just put two and two together and finally caught on to the connection to Cherenkov radiation. Like duh, maybe the blue light coming from the nuclear reactor is a reference to THE blue light which comes from nuclear reactors.
Anyway, it made this little physics lad happy, and I would like to thank Aabria for this gift.
I just got around to playing it, and I'm just going to say: close enough.
I really hope the new Solomon we get in Eastward Octopia is just the DLC's version of Tom Nook. No grand scheme, just trading murder for capitalism.
Thinking about 5e evasion and its utterly bizarre consequences.
Take the Fire Breath of an adult red dragon:
"The dragon exhales fire in a 60-foot cone. Each creature in that area must make a DC 21 Dexterity saving throw, taking 63 (18d6) fire damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one."
Now, let's modify it slightly by removing that last part:
"The dragon exhales fire in a 60-foot cone. Each creature in that area must make a DC 21 Dexterity saving throw, taking 63 (18d6) fire damage on a failed save."
Which of these does more damage, on average, to a high-level monk/rogue (one with evasion)? If you said the former, congratulations, you made the reasonable choice. You'd also be wrong: the monk/rogue takes twice as much damage from the modified ability.
Anyway, it bothers me.
Could a homosexual lend me, an asexual, a single use of the word flaming?
Indri, the Witch of Wind and Stars and Mirara, the Witch of the Waning Moon
