My sister is a genius gift-giver. Swooning over here.
This is an original piece by Joshua Harker. More on this process and concepts at his website, and perhaps more interestingly, over on Kickstarter, where he dared to ask, and people enthusiastically funded, his work.
It’s made from laser-sintered polyamide, a kind of nylon. It’s as light as egg shell, and has the texture of unglazed porcelain bisque. It is amazingly strong (relatively speaking) for its weight, according to the specs.
Gobsmacked.
Merry Christmas!
crania anatomica filigre by jared
A couple of days ago I ordered Joshua Harker’s Crania Anatomica Filigre skull and, amazingly, received it in the mail today. There are no words for the sounds that came out of my mouth. This thing is so fucking beautiful. My shitty phone camera doesn’t even do it justice.
