When I was little, I had another blog and on that blog I followed this amazing artist and It made my day when in response to my submission they drew their character “Ark” hugging mine. So today I redrew that picture in my own style.

Sorry if Im tagging you in drawings too much but your designs and ideas are two adorable to pass up. (Also I don't really know how to draw 40 year olds either)

This just made me remember how he kind of freaked out on not knowing about some yokai watch reference that shuichi brought up. (The cool big brother answer when asked about what's the first thing he thinks of when he hears the word kappa)

I can now fully picture kiyo refering to pop culture characters as "creatures" thanks to your latest shinsai drawing

i imagine he works on like. mom logics for these things. confidently calls every pokemon a pikachu. texts in half sentences ending with ... uses emojis very randomly and he thinks 😂 is a crying face.

shuichi doesn't seem overly concerned with pop culture, but canon seems to indicate he has a base level understanding on it at least. i don't think he'd have the heart to correct him because it's very endearing. would probably give kokichi some sort of allergic cringe reaction though.

our circumstances have not changed since my last post; we are both still unemployed despite our best efforts, and we both still have debilitating disabilities that are expensive to manage, especially while we don't have access to consistent, affordable medical care. we haven't been able to buy clothes in a year and we have many things that are vital to our quality of life that we Need to replace. additionally, Hannukah and Kwanzaa almost perfectly overlap this year, and itd mean a lot for my wife and i to be able to celebrate after a long, hard year.
