What I love about Omegaverse is one of the few Dystopia AU where nobody cares about it's dystopic themes.
"Here we have an AU where a complete section of the population dictated by their sex (in most cases completely excluding the real meaning of gender), which is a minority, gets real life mysoginistic treatment at best and is treated like birthing cattle and objects at worst."
The plot? Porn or romance where the main Omega get's with the least or the worst option (depending on the story) without anyone caring about the systematic oppression ever. Like... lmao. Imagine any other dystopy doing this, they would not have managed this far without being dragged by the audience. But people like omegaverse because it allows them to fetishize homosexuality or make trans woman/trans men bottom without actually caring about gender transition. (Then the ones that like Alpha Male × Omega Female... they just want werewolf themes, I guess).
I'm genuinely so interested in the implications of omegaverse society where there is, in universe, a secondary bioessentialist structure applied to every individual, but in our world we know this simply replicates the known bioessentialist structure we already have but specifically in a way that makes men (and particularly gay men who are bottoms) targets of structural misogyny. Like there is so much to say about that. And it fascinates me how much of it comes from people who would otherwise consider themselves strongly opposed to bioessentialism homophobia and misogyny. But they think that Porno Fanfic carries no real implications about their worldviews. Even though the entire fetish has moved past just being a justification for a sex pollen thing and become, as my best friend Wolf put it, "misogynistic and frequently homophobic lego building blocks for people to play with."
It terrifies me that there’s so much raging passion in the lgbt+ community that insist on marginalizing asexuals and implying that asexuals don’t deserve to have safe spaces. There’s still so much acephobia so I just wanna know which blogs are genuinely supportive and a safe space for asexuals

I would like to point out something you may have not realized, but it does come out with a bit of entitlement the fact that you pointed out two tumblr content creators to talk about how there is more content of dom man and sub woman, content creators who both were accepting requests, instead of talking about the system that normalized women as submissive to men. When you go after this independent and unpaid creatures it feels as if you are tageting them for not writting what you wanted.
You are right, there is more dom men and sub women content in general. In your original post you said a movie of that content just came in, but instead of giving the name of the movie you gave the name of a fanfic.
You could have made your original post about how hollywood and western literature have normalized women being submissive to men as a standar and this submission often relates to a normalization of violence and degradation, giving examples made for women, being viral and setting the standar sub woman with the characterization of violent men as a given like are Twilight and 50 Shades of Grey, you point fanfiction writers. You point the small group instead of the system responsible for the over-representation and under-representation of certain groups.
They write without profit, whatever they do to the characters doesn't affect canon, and as long as they don't hurt anyone then there is no reason to point them out. If you don't like what they write and how they write, including kinks and if they make characters OOC, then your responsibility is to ignore them, not use them, who are way more vulnerable than a Hollywood studio or paid writter, to make a point, which is unfair.
Also, you should also consider this. It's easy to objectify women because there is a history that is still present and lingering of women being both seen and treated as objects by men, a systematic oppresion done by men as a system. Women have never owned men nor their image with a system backing them up, so while they can mischaracterize them, sexualize them and force them into harmful steteotype, they can't objectify them. Because women don't have a history, and in actual society can, as a social unit system own men and their image.
Hey @jinxyjinxer first off all I would like to apologise, I didn't know I had to open the inbox, I don't know much about how to use this app, I'm gonna try to open it so if you want to answer privately you can.
Secondly, I would like to apologise for causing you discomfort that was not my intention, I can edit and take your print off if that would make you feel better, I didn't tag you because it was not a personal attack and I was afraid if I left any names the people in the prints could get hated on or something like that, once again, I'm sorry for the disturbance.
I would like to answer some stuff you said but once again I don't mean it aggressively nor in any angry way.
I understand that it was a request, but it still doesn't change what I said, I do think, personally, that its odd to take a character we've seen how behaves when mad and how behaves in romantic/sexual situations and basically write a whole new person over it, once again, you are completely allowed to disagree and I'm not here to try changing your mind nor enter any type of fight.
I would like to say I disagree with you in "sub and dom women are evenly distributed", that's not a bold statement, that's a fact, how many books with a exclusively dominant female lead you know? How many are written by the same person? How many are famous? How many sell physical copies? How many romance movies? How many made to the big screens? How many where its seen as a romance and not as a form of comedy, critic to society and/or where the woman is nothing but an accessorie to the man's growth? How many have actual fdom leads? In pornography of course its easier, but they are mostly the same thing made by the same people, even in twitter is hard to find fdom artists. But once again those are just our personal opinions and its fine that they are different.
Also I would like to apologise, I didn't view you as a sub, the other people in the print I also didn't picture as anything, one of them by what I know is also a switch like you, I just viewed you as someone who wrote something, you could easily have written a sub jayce before as I didn't dig your account or anything (if you did maybe I even read or liked it), I didn't mean to make assumptions, sorry for the discomfort once again.
I don't really understand your argument here, I find odd and uncomfortable to see sanji x male characters and I'm heavily not into bi sanji headcanon and I do find it out of character, but how I mentioned in my previous post, that's not something I can force upon people, men are allowed to feel attracted to him.
I believe yes you can know a lot about someone by the way they behave, and I didn't mean it in matters of clichés and stereotypes, but in matters of micro actions, reactions and specially their behaviour in romantic and intimate moments, which in this specific case, we quite literally saw. Everything can be up to interpretation but that doesn't mean every interpretation makes sense, I can say daryl dixon favourite song is espresso by sabrina carpenter, after all he doesn't have a favourite song, but that's obviously not true and we can see that because it would be out of character.
Once again I'm sorry but yes, I belive you can know when someone is a vanilla or not, even if they read the kinkiest books, talk the dirtiest talks, you can know that they would never actually perform it and/or not enjoy, for exemple, Jaime dornan played Christian grey but you could see that it was obvious that he wasn't into that, and so it was, he is not and has said it. You cannot say that men are not forced to perform dominance, it's not hard to find msubs telling their problems with acceptance and how they are treated in society, even in stories like Love and Leashes (comic/movie) this matter is talked about.
I'm not upset that my "personal hcs" are overlooked, specially because for the characters I mentioned they are not (which I said in the previous post), what I am upset about is the characters manners and actions itself being ignored, this happens a lot with female characters in porn made for men where they become hentaigirl.jpg no matter how they actually behave, and people of course get mad about it, all I'm poorly trying to say is that I get mad when it happens to male characters as well.
I didn't mean to sound like I was trying to kinkshame anyone, after all, I belive everyone can have any kink don't matter how weird (if it is not harmful or illegal of course), and just like everyone has the free will to imagine anything, I have the free will to disagree, and what I mentioned does happen with characters with canon Kinks like schmidt from new girl for exemplo, who is a canonical sub but people on the fandom try to make up stuff to try to make him a switch, which he canonically is not.
Now, I don't think it's hypocritical to say that appearance doesn't tell anything about anyone but behaviour does, behaviour doesn't mean just explicit actions how I mentioned before, you can tell a lot about someone by non verbal means, but that can be a person to person thing too when it comes to real people, characters it's very different, using the exemple of jayce himself, we saw him in romantic, intimate and sexual situations, we saw him in vulnerable, angry, sad and happy situations as well, because we can see a characters reality but not a real person's one, if we talk now about personal hcs and "interpretations" like you mentioned before, by what I watched I don't view him as a hard sub, I don't think he would like to be tied up nor spanked nor anything like that even if i would like him to, and that's kinda off my point.
Again, I would like to apologise and offer to take your print off, as how I said I didn't mean a personal attack, I just brought up exemples of what I meant.
I understand what you mean but it's not because something is made for fun that means it cannot be criticised or that nobody can get "mad" about it, I mentioned those too cases because it's what I saw at the moment, in what I'm trying to say, non famous people or non mainstream stuff is also relevant, but I understand my mistake of using prints of people in here, and I apologise for it and promise that I will measure my actions as I didn't mean to harm anyone, I'm used to private accounts and didn't think about the consequences of making someone sad, which I'm here to apologise for, as you can see I'm not the best with words nor with speaking my mind, also, I'm sorry if any of my response sounds rude or agressive because I promise that's not how I want it to. I'm open if you want to talk at any moment
Once again, I'm sorry and wish you only the best, I'm sure you're an amazing writer by the way you wrote this response, I hope your blog does well, keep up with what makes you feel good,
I hope we can overcome this and make peace (if that's a nice way to say) :)
Hello everyone,
I’m Suha Al-Mughani, the wife of Ibrahim. We are a family of five from Gaza, including three children, trying to rebuild our lives after losing everything in the war.
My husband has been unable to work since his injury 12 years ago, and after months of fundraising, we’ve raised less than 10% of our goal, which doesn’t cover our basic needs.
Our hope is to leave Gaza as soon as the war ends and start over. Even the smallest donation can make a huge difference ❤️. Please support us or share our story 🙏.
