12 Days Of Artmas

Old pic again. THis one is primarily an experiment with glow effect. To make it look like she’s irridescent. The original line art can be found here but I’m currently still looking for the original artist. The blog it links to does not contain the original image, and if I recall from earlier attempts, is not the original holder of that name.

More catchup. This project was playing more with lighting, different colouring options, and backgrounds. I felt like bob ross doing this one~. Again, don’t own the line art, but just the idea behind the colours. First time playing with freckles. The original line art can be found here by Sabinerich on Deviant Art.

Karuta time!

Good news, I got another set of cards passed to me, so once again it’s time for the next set of Karuta Cards from Sinbad no Bouken. As always, this is an amateur translation. I’ll do them in sets by letters as they become available to me. Today is the T.

Ta- [I] become depended on like a mother of everyone.. たよりになるみんなのお母さん。

Chi- Don’t ever call me things like pipsqueak. ちびなんていつもでも言わせませんよ。

Tsu- Gradually raise the skill of the plunge*. つっこみの腕もじょじょに上げてます。

Te- Enemy officer grimaces, also uneasy. てき役も楽じゃないよとしかめ面。

To- Drakon's real name is very long. ドラコーン本当の名前はとっても長い。

Finally I’ve gotten a good understanding of how different brushes handle different textures. I am quite proud of this one, I think it looks really good, and looks rather realistic in textures. Queen of Tarts

An attempt at a more realistic image, and I’m rather enjoying some new projects with colour and such. I didn’t draw the image, just coloured it. The original artist is elias_chatzou and the original picture can be found here

Then vs Now

Here we have on the left, the very first picture I had ever coloured, and on the right, a redo of it with all the lessons I learned in texture, shading, etc applied. I think it’s a good example of how far I’ve come from my start, and how much I’ve improved. I hope to continue improving.
