It's my birthday today! Which I am happy about, I'm 17 which...not so happy about but whatever.

I don't really feel older, honestly I'm kind of just out of it. I suppose it doesn't really feel like my birthday much at all, that happens when you get older right? You feel it less and less? I don't know man I'm spitballin here.

I'm going swimming in a little while, which will be fun, hopefully we're getting OutBack since we haven't in forever and it's my birthday damn it. I originally wanted to go skating today but with me staying up all night and poppy needing to work it just didn't work out, maybe that's why I'm out of it, who knows (I sure don't).

After today the only thing I'm looking forward to is the beginning of the NHL pre-season because OH do I have plans for that AND the season it's self, it's gonna be real fun (so long as I keep up with it).

New Jersey-

So his father is TECHNICALLY the devil, not the Jersey Devil nono just..the devil

Because his father is literally Satan, Louisiana was very cautious around him in the beginning, Jersey did everything he could think of to gain his trust before realizing that it’ll take Loui time before he does

Jersey has two moms, one (Mother) is Swedish while the other (Ma) is Dutch

He has magic, like its demon magic but he has magic, he’s also able to grab a full health report crops and plants, he isn’t the garden state for no reason

While some states are tall or short depending on their state size, New Jersey is in the group (mainly just OG13) that isn’t his height because of his state

Speaking of height, he’s about 5’8, he’s not short, that doesn’t mean he won’t jump onto the counters to get stuff from the shelves, it just mean he doesn’t need too

Technically doesn’t have a soul, the states all have souls but Jersey is kinda soulless, only kinda and technically though because he does have one, he just doesn’t own it

HUGE nerd, loves anything from Star Trek to TMNT to Kingdom Hearts

Feel like this is obvious but he is a MASSIVE hockey guy, loves it, love to play it, thinks the Rangers can go to hell and so can the Flyers, literally only cares about the Devils

He is pretty neutral when it comes to football, both NY’s team plays in his state sure but they aren’t his, that doesn’t mean he won’t root for them, he just needs to be told too

Collects Baseball cards and used to play as well, but so did everyone else and their father in the 60s

Loves to make fudge and taffy, knows every states favorite of both and if they don’t like either he also knows everyone’s favorite chocolates as well

Has great memory, which is his downfall most times when he doesn’t want to remember

Has severe trauma, has gone through many therapists because of it before landing on his current one

Calls Sweden ‘Father Sweden’ and Netherland ‘Dad Netherland’, both are not too sure why or how he started calling them that, let only Jersey himself

A WHAT relationship with a WHAT!?

Space Force being the most unsettling of the Branches is actually my favorite thing, like everyone assumes the scariest of the Branches would be Marine Corp just because of the reputation and granted he is a big guy that could easily crush you.

While Space looks 19 max, is like 5'2 maybe 5'3 in her boots, generally so tiny she's got Air Force & Army googling "can you give adults pediasure", always has her hair in pigtail braids, and keeps fruit snacks in her pockets.

All that put together has people looking at her and going "oh she looks sweet :)" and going over to have a conversation that starts with making eye contact and getting a shiver up your spine because you look into her eyes and see the vast abyss of Space where no one can hear you scream, and then she says 7 unsettling things in a row (including very possibly when and how you'll die). most people assume this is some sort of psychological warfare she's trying out. its not. she's just like that. Airy is the only one unbothered by it.

Oh look, what a surprise, a drawing from mwah. It's just the boys, NJ stole Rhodes hat and then had his taken by Del. Also yes Jersey is that much taller than them, I meant to put their heights but oops, Rhodes like 5'2 Dels 5'3 and Jerseys 5'8 so take that as you will.

As a guy with curly hair most times, humidity is such a bitch and happens whenever it feels like here in Jersey, no consistency. So this hit close to home lol.

Hot and Humid (The Worst Combo)

Every door in the state house was open, along with the windows. The Southern States were out barbecuing and the Northern States were suffering, except New Jersey.

It’s not like Jersey liked the heat, it was a pain in the ass, but it did mean he could go swimming and get good southern food, so he can’t complain too much. The problem was the humidity, it was ungodly humid out. Jersey knew humid intimately but this was ridiculous.

Almost every state was either in the pool or on the side relaxing or barbecuing. Almost. The only state that wasn’t with everyone was Louisiana, which Jersey would understand if it wasn’t for the fact that this is weather Loui would absolutely be in.

Jersey was about to go inside to find him when his name was called. Standing in the doorway was Loui, his hair frizzy and messy, looking just as miserable as most of the NE states felt.

Louisiana only had to say one word and Jersey would be at his beck and call. “Help”.

Jersey dragged Loui to his(Jersey's) room, looking at what products he had that could work, he realized he was severely lacking and would need to get more stuff again. He gave Loui a juice box and the tv remote and got to work.

Hair was hard, especially curly hair, it’s hard and annoying at the best of times and at the worst it’s near impossible. Jersey was basically an expert in all things hair but he was definitely wishing that Loui had come to him in the early morning before the humidity got too bad.

It took two hours but Jersey was able to put Loui’s hair into cornrows, that way if he wanted he could go swimming with the others. By the time the two got back outside some of the food was ready and it somehow got hotter and more humid, but at least now Loui’s hair wasn’t a mess.

(And if there was some magic involved to make sure his hair didn’t get affected by the humidity again, then that was between him and the demon he calls his friend).
